Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 24 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Really fun, but try to play it with someone at the start. If you like games like Factorio, Hearts of Iron and like Naval and Aviation combat its right for you.

If you are looking for a singleplayer player tactical RTS this aint it, "Unless you like punishing yourself" The game is supported around being a Coop game and the Singleplayer option is you on a bridge With everything spread out around the bridge so you have to go one side to the next just to do anything.
I want to recommend this game, but I just cannot. Everything feels like a chore, and the main selling point, which is the combat, is neither rewarding or fun.
Overview
Carrier Command 2 is a co-op/single-player military simulation where you command a carrier that can deploy both ground and air units to engage enemy forces. The gameplay loop is fighting a "hacked" AI-controlled carrier which is a copy of your ship, as well as "neutral" island forces. Capturing islands unlocks blueprints for new ammunition, weapons, and hulls, which is essential at times to continue the fight. Islands also generate money which can be used to queue up the items you have unlocked such as ammo, guns, etc., an island may also have strategic resources like oil which your carrier needs to power up everything. There is a logistics system lets you use barges to transport supplies like ammo and fuel from warehouses of the islands you captured back to your carrier. While the concept is interesting, the execution leaves much to be desired. Unfortunately, the negatives heavily outweigh the positives. The Good Stuff

You can directly control individual units and issue commands.
Combined Arms. The integration of planes, drones, and ground units is a nice concept.
To a limited extent, modding support. Some annoying mechanics can be improved with mods, though the modding community is unfortunately sparse.
RTS Warfare. The idea of a dynamic battle between you and an AI carrier is quite nice. Unfortunately, this is where the positives end.
The Bad Stuff
There’s no tutorial or proper explanation of mechanics in game. Critical mechanics like logistics, are completely unexplained. You’ll need to rely on external resources like the wiki or community guides to figure things out.
Poor combat mechanics, which I will be making a small list for. [olist]
The carrier's primary weapon (160mm cannon) is not stabilized, making it almost useless. The only time where this piece of junk will be hitting is targets is when you're completely stationary with no waves against ground targets. It’s bafflingly primitive for a futuristic setting.
Guided Missiles are poorly designed. The carrier's guided missile is painfully slow and ineffective against ships, often defeated by basic AA. It’s only usable against stationary or moving ground targets.
Friendly and Enemy AI Incompetence, your units have terrible AI that start engaging enemies at extreme distances, wasting ammo, and often missing their shots. Their stabilizers aren’t enabled by default, and by the time your ground units land on the beaches and reach the frontlines, they’re usually out of ammunition. Their pathfinding is also atrocious, frequently leaving them stuck at weird places. Thankfully, even if they get flipped, they get back up. With a limit of only four max deployable ground units, manual control is necessary if you want them to be useful. [/olist]
Customization. While ground units are customizable to some degree, many options are pointless. Why add an extra camera to a unit when the main gun already provides good view? The 30mm and 40mm guns feel the same and you almost get no benefits from upgrading a 30mm to 40mm. Certain equipments (e.g., IR countermeasures, smoke launchers) are niche and almost useless outside PvP scenarios.
Controlling helicopters, drones, and planes need getting used to. The controls are overly sensitive and require some time to feel manageable.
Incredibly poor Logistics System. The logistics system, while interesting, is poorly executed. Barges move frustratingly slowly, and you often need to halt your progress as you wait for supplies to be delivered. This also applies to waiting for the factories to produce certain equipment.
Naval Combat is underwhelming. "Playable" Needlefish vessels offer limited control. You can steer them and tell them where to go, but you can’t operate their weapons directly. They’re hampered by their lackluster AI and limited functionality. Torpedo Needlefish, for instance, can’t even be equipped with decoy torpedoes to fend off enemy torpedoes. It can also accidentally torpedo the main ship, which is quite funny to see.
AI is very anticlimactic. Enemy AI, specifically the end-game carrier in this case, is disappointingly easy to defeat. What should be an awesome showdown becomes a dull grind of monitoring AA screens, firing occasional AA missiles, and launching a few torpedoes.

Verdict
For a game priced at half the cost of a AAA title, Carrier Command 2 is severely lacking in polish, replayability, and engaging gameplay. The experience feels more like a chore than entertainment. If you want to have any enjoyment from this game, playing with friends is your best bet. However, even then, the flaws are quite hard to overlook.
A Hidden Gem of Naval Combined Arms – Ambitious, Accessible, and Worth Watching This is an excellent indie game that deserves way more attention. At $29, it might feel a bit pricey for where it's at right now, but it's reaching for something bold—and that ambition is rare. It’s tackling a gap in military games: naval combined arms. Games like DCS and ARMA have nailed parts of the combined warfare experience, but naval warfare is often overlooked or painfully inaccessible. This game brings it to life in a way that’s both strategic and incredibly approachable—you don’t need 200 hours of training to feel like you're contributing. Some standout features I love: Bridge Design: It’s got that perfect blend—complex enough to feel real, simple enough to use without a PhD in naval architecture. Combined Roles: You can fly aircraft, lead ground assaults, or command from the CIC. You’re not locked into one playstyle—you’re invited to be the whole war. Teamplay: When a crew works together, it clicks. There’s nothing like coordinating air strikes, ship movements, and ground assaults with a competent team. That said, it’s not perfect. Modes of Play: It lacks flexibility. The current match structure doesn’t scale well for everyone, and sessions can drag on. Persistence: There’s no good way to play across multiple days. It needs a persistent war mode—something like a dedicated server where players can drop in and out after work, while the campaign continues. Audience Fit: It should cater better to both casual players and hardcore sim fans. Right now, it sits in a weird middle space that doesn't fully satisfy either group. Still, despite the rough edges, what this game is attempting is exciting—and frankly, needed. It’s one of the few titles pushing into underexplored territory, and doing it with heart, brains, and surprising accessibility.
> Go to deck > Load aircraft onto ramp > Land Targets locked > launch missiles > Success, targets destroyed > Dispatch aircraft to take out strangelrs > Capture Nicolás Maduro ? mfw that ♥♥♥♥ was real
its a great game but it could be so much better give us modding tools or start active development again or sell or lease out the development to another company that will flush out this game
been out 4 years cant even have long gaming sessions since logistics are glitched af and we cant even get barges to ressuply the carrier after 40 min into a game. pointless
