About
VILE is back on the scene, and for once, ACME and Carmen Sandiego have a common enemy. In a rare and temporary alliance, the world’s greatest thief must track down the syndicate before they can pull off their next big heist. Rookie gumshoes and seasoned detectives are invited to put their sleuthing skills to the test whether it’s in the narrative driven main campaign or the classic mode ‘The Acme Files’.
Carmen Sandiego, the elusive master thief, has temporarily aligned herself with ACME. Her intimate knowledge of VILE’s operations and her unparalleled skills in espionage make her an invaluable, albeit risky, ally.
From the bustling streets of Rio de Janeiro to the majestic landmarks of Tokyo, embark on a whirlwind tour of the world's most iconic destinations. With stunning visuals and immersive environments, every location comes to life, inviting you to explore, discover, and unravel the secrets that lie within.
A great thief is only as good as her tools. Glide across rooftops, grapple between buildings, and switch between night vision, UV, and thermal to track suspects and find hidden clues.
Use quick thinking and detective skills to decode messages, crack safes, and outwit VILE operatives before they disappear. Every choice impacts your mission, so act fast!
Use clues, interviews, and the ACME CrimeNet Database to profile and identify VILE operatives. But remember, a warrant is essential before making any arrests! Will you crack the case and bring VILE to justice, or will they evade capture?

The gameplay alternates between campaign missions (tied to the 2019 Netflix series, though it's not a required watch to follow the story of the game) and retro revival of older Carmen Sandiego missions. The mini game puzzles (mostly in campaign but occasionally in the retro) are varied and entertaining enough. Game does a great job of increasing the difficulty of both the location and suspect clues as players advance. Be prepared to look up a lot of airport codes. I like how even though there are only about 15 different cities each time you visit one correctly more info is added to their database. Campaign missions add interesting factoids as well.
It was fun, it's very challenging

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A solid continuation of the long time series of super adventure games, but with a different twist on the perspective to give it a fresh, new look!
fun and nostalgic !
This is a fun game! It's very simple so kids could play it fairly easily but I can attest that as 30 year old I was still able to have fun! I grew up on classic Carmen Sandiego so nothing will ever compare but I did thoroughly enjoy the Netflix show and this had the same vibe.
Debía esta reseña desde hace tiempo. ¡Me encantó!
this game is rlly fun but sometimes its kinda hard but i reccomend it >:3
Who better than a world renowned thief to catch a thief? As Carmen Sandiego you are the most notorious thief in the world, but ACME turns to you to find and catch the petty thieves who work for VILE. You pretty much play as a detective to solve a "who done it" type mystery. Figure out who stole an item, track them down in the right country based on clues given to you by witnesses, and then once you narrow down which VILE thug it is (in a Guess Who style mini game on the side), put out a warrant for their arrest and try to catch to them before they flee the country or before you run out of time tracking them. If you played and enjoyed the original Carmen Sandiego games you will like this! There are several familiar characters from the original game. There is also a bit of story tied in this time. It has a bunch of small mini games built into it as well. So along with the better graphics it's just enhanced and quite a bit better from what we played back in the 90s. It even has some areas in towns where you can walk around freely and try clicking clues to interact with them and potentially find new information left behind by the thieves. I think this could be fun for newcomers as well who haven't tried these games but it could be hit or miss. There is a large nostalgia factor that ties in for people who grew up with the original game. Rating: 10/10 It's a total upgrade from what the original game was.
