Let me preface this with the fact that I don't really like Card Games. Then look at the hours I have in this one. That should tell you all you need to know.
It's an amazing platform for creating unique and individual ideas, there are a few bugs but they are constantly being patched. If I had to give one criticism, it's that there isn't really a guide for custom ability creation, and some stuff I thought would be really cool seems out of reach. Otherwise, it's always changing and getting better, so there really isn't anything that won't eventually be possible.

On the road to be most complete and flexible TCG editor ever made. Cardeneer is all about possibilities and creativity. It has countless ability combinations, and more are added on a weekly basis. You can add custom art and have full control over card design, or use templates and included assets. Code is accessible to modders, LUA scripting support is growing, and the GUI resources are huge. What make Cardeneer special is playing the games you made. PVE challenges, survival mode, drafts, online PVP, progression system, everything is there. There is a roadmap for custom modes where you can design your own game style. AND IT'S FREE. Community is very active, and new mods are always showing up. Discord channel is friendly and helpful. There is events and tournaments, and community driven updates. Like every EA game, there is some rough edges, bugs will happen, UI still need some polish, but Cardeneer is surely worth a shot.
This is good software, and I look forward to any updates. My only gripe is that 'minion swarm' decks are a real pain to play, due to the fact the cards don't shrink in size and there is always only one row of cards per side. If possible, it would be nice for cards after the 8th card put into the field, to be moved into a new row, and the previous 8 cards would shrink in size. It might be hard to read the cards on the table from a glace this way, but there is always inspect, right?
a little glitchy, but incredibly fun to mess around with

Damn if I didn't suck at designing game mechanics I would make my own hearthstone
You never saw this coming, I summon Pot of Greed to draw three additional cards from my deck. And then I summon Pot of Greed to draw three additional cards from my deck. And after that I summon Pot of Greed to draw three additional cards from my deck. And with this sacred treasure i summon...
It's really fun and there's a lot of customization. Although there's definitely some stuff that should be added or changed a bit, it's a solid card game creation tool. I made "Lost Kingdoms III", which of course I can't release due to copyright, but I love the old Lost Kingdoms games so much, I thought it'd be cool to create something geared toward it. It works well for what I needed.
The game is VERY buggy in its current state, but the dev is constantly updating and patching any bug the community finds pretty quickly, as well as being someone who actually listens to suggestions the community makes. The editor is VERY good, and will only get better as it gets less constricting. This game (app?) is amazing, and it gets even better when you consider its price tag of NOTHING. If you wanna make a card game, or even play others that other people made, this is DEFINITELY the thing for you.
