Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 2 → 2.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The hot pink-wearing, fish-chomping, cigar-huffing Captain Wayne refuses to let anything stand between him and his gory conquest to rob and humiliate every rich asshole around the globe.
After losing his arm in a terrible encounter with the legendary Vampire Whale, Wayne replaced it with his trusty shotgun, The Captain's Ol' Reliable, and sailed with it across the seven-and-a-half seas in his vessel, the S.S. Salty.
When an unexpected run-in with a group of evil mercenaries leaves him marooned on Orca Isle with his ship stolen, Wayne starts doing what he does best: annihilating everyone responsible.
Equipped with a double barreled shotgun for an arm, countless explosives, and a bad attitude, you’ll have to go toe-to-toe with The Killer Whales, the most ruthless mercenaries in all the seven-and-a-half seas.
DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO EMBODY THE CAPTAIN? Let’s find out.

Mow down enemies with your double-barreled arm, rip enemies apart with devious chain-gun fingers, toss a bottle of the explosive Boom Brew, unleash the force of thunder from your palms, or PUNCH THEM ‘TIL THEY’RE PASTE!

Those Killer Whales bastards aren’t gonna slaughter themselves! It’s time to rob the rich to feed the badass.

The reason Wayne is pink is actually because he eats so much floor shrimp.
Unless they added achievements post-release or something, this has to be the most dropped positively reviewed game on Steam. And I could certainly see why. It starts out pretty fun and has some good individual components (art, sound effects, cut scenes) but the overall package gets boring fast. While the levels occasionally looping back on themselves and requiring keys for certain doors may imply some level of puzzle solving, and floating platforms may imply platforming, you'll quickly realize that there truly is no meaningful gameplay past shooting. While this isn't a problem by itself (It is an FPS after all), the lack of variety in enemies and tools you get to fight them isn't great enough to carry a game where every single level is a million little arenas where you fight a billion of the same guys over and over. Even after getting sick of the game I tried to keep going just because I heard it was short and I figured I'd try to see all of it, but eventually I hit a huge difficulty spike and had to quit. A few fundamental flaws in combat really started to grate on me. Some enemies are just way too tanky, you can get melted from full health in moments if you miss a guy spawning out of nowhere, and there are way too many flying enemies / enemies on high up places for the number of weapons you get that barely work out of short range (There's a melee fist attack, a shotgun, a grenade, and a cannon that are all bad at a distance). If I were better at FPS's I definitely wouldn't have quit where I did, but I don't know if I'd be having any better a time. Every stage being "jump in circles at high speeds because cover is inadequate and there are guys everywhere" can only be fun for so long.

Captain Wayne - Vacation Desperation is an FPS about a pirate captain with a gun for an arm. What else do you need? 5/5 Ok, to elaborate a little, Captain Wayne works because it has tons of character, excellent and surprising level design, and fun weapons and mobility options. It is a delight to play the game from beginning to the end. There are challenging sections, but they mostly felt fair. If I can nitpick something, it is that some of the enemy types are a bit annoying, but that feels like an inherent part of the genre at this point. Sure, Captain Wayne is another FPS made on GZDoom. But the way they managed to make it feel unlike any other GZDoom FPS is nothing short of praiseworthy. They even managed to put in cutscenes with voice acting! A really fun game worth the full price. 5/5
This game is great. Movement is amazing. Weapons are sick. Level design is solid. And the music is beyond fantastic! Great game. Buy it now.
