The best-selling first-person action series of all-time returns with an epic sequel to the multiple GOTY award winner Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 2
Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.43/day in the week to Sep 3 → 8.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 8: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Tech note: The default graphics are weirdly soft and gross. Under video settings go to advanced. There you will find a category called Image Quality. There are 5 settings: low, normal, high, extra, and native. Select NATIVE. This fixes it. tl;dr it's fine I guess, if you like the MW narrative and need an ending for the trilogy. I'm torn about this one. I wish I could give a "neutral" review. MW1 was a milestone for narrative FPS campaigns. MW2 hit new peaks with incredible setpieces and narrative twists. MW3 is... more MW. It's mostly good but it really doesn't break ground the way MW1/2 did. A third of it is just "things you loved in MW1/MW2", and another third is just classic CoD WW1/WW2 fighting through crumbling European city streets gameplay but now it's WW3. The other third does have some very cool stuff in it, but it doesn't quite reach those MW2 heights. The front half of the game feels a bit generic (even for CoD, yes). There's some odd pacing overall - like finishing one level with a slow-mo door breaching finale, and then the next starts immediately with a slow-mo door breach to kick off the action. Baffling decision. It does definitely improve towards the back half. The narrative tightens up a lot, the characters come into focus, and you go hunting the bad guys. The ending is great and a good conclusion to the trilogy. If you're a big fan of the MW1/MW2 narrative, this is worth playing for the ending. Set your expectations to medium-low and you'll be satisfied enough. If you just like narrative shooters generally, there's better options.

Mfs rebooted the entire Modern Warfare story just to make everyone useless and die in a meaningless way, just so Makarov doesnt even show up in MW4 2026. I hate you, Activision.
