Very good game

Reminds me of ps2 era a bit. Has a soul for sure so play it if you're human still

An absolutely amazing game, and that's still an understatement It's scuffed around the edges and a few spots, but it's still SO GOOD Memorable Grumpuses, even more memorable Bugsnax, a bunch of equipment to make capturing as simple or as unnecessarily complex as you want, TONS of Snak combinations to try out, LOTS of quests to do and of course the AMAZING soundtrack by Seth Parker Hell, give me an area in the game and I can tell you every single Bugsnak that can be found there, what quests and equipment you get there, or what is the song's name in it, or give me a Grumpus and I will tell you when, where and how to bring them back, and even recall some of their voicelines too It's scuffed around the edges and in some spots, like the dialogue timing weird, unintentionally skipping cutscenes, the ambiguity of some of the letter quests (Maybe Snorpy was onto something) or trying to find that damn 5th Snakpod, but the overall package is still good You could see some effort done about it in the Isle of BIGsnax, but doens't extend into Snaktooth sadly I only wish the Grumpuses would be more active in their quests, instead of being simply "Find this Bugsnak in some area of the game", and that the Bossnax would be more challenging and would involve the Grumpuses' help (Well, Cromdo's getting sand'd regardless of complexity), they're BOSSnax for grump's sake! Overall, 12/10, interesting concept made into an AMAZING game

[h1]You are what you eat... in this game, quite literally[/h1] I continue to play games that were just sitting in my library, which I got for my small collection of good games. I decided to download this one to get all the achievements, with no expectations at all, I didn't even watch a trailer! It started with grumpuses dissing each other, basically saying "Friends: None, Skills: None", only to hear later in the game: "That's why your wife left you!" or "I will do violence to ya...". The game is trying its best to stay family-friendly, but you are ready now. You know that under this cute-looking game, body horror is actually hidden. The game starts with you entering an interesting big island full of bugs that look like food, just to interview Lizbert Megafig. While entering the island's territory, a huge Bugsnax knocks you down. Almost immediately after meeting the members of Lizbert's crew, you learn that their small town is abandoned because Lizbert disappeared and they couldn't cooperate with each other. In order to reach your goal, you decide to find them all. To get the true ending and all achievements, you will have to complete all the major side quests and letter quests (which can be quite a pain in your paw). The game doesn't require any skill whatsoever, only patience. While doing side quests, you learn much more about every grumpus and help them understand who they are and what they actually need. There are 111 bugsnax in the game in total: some are easy to catch, while others require some tactics and creativity. All the tools synergize incredibly well with each other, but it's up to you to experiment and, yeah... Gotta catch 'em all! Now there's going to be spoilers about the ending [spoiler]The ending is quite touching. It has good, bad, and mixed variants where not all grumpuses survive. While dying, a grumpus's mind is poisoned by the bugsnax, showing all the toxic dreams they wanted, horrible thoughts about themselves, or just regrets. The reactions of others to someone's death and their speeches on the beach during the final act are top-notch.[/spoiler] The game also has a lot of secrets, and many of them are not connected to achievements, which I take as a pretty cool bonus. Anyway, this is a pretty big review for such a simple and cute-looking game, but that's just how much I actually liked it and all the dialogue between the characters. I will be waiting patiently if the creators decide it's time to make a sequel. [spoiler]Because there are a few hints about it at the end.[/spoiler]
