Buffet Knight - Decadent Full Course

Kirby meets Zelda Link to the Past with a fun food setting. Solid little game.

This is a game that has good pixel art charm that delivers quite nicely in a game similar to old Zelda games. You travel the land as a juvenile black hole with a questionable appetite (at least Kirby knows what's edible) trying to stop some random evil king who wants to hoard all the food (which makes it kinda hypocritical now that I'm writing it out) by barfing out whatever you can shove into that mouth of his. Its a more fleshed out version of its origin game "Buffet Knight" and is decent for what it is. I wouldn't say its worth it but if you like games similar to Zelda and Kirby, knock yourself out.

Pretty good game! It's exactly what it looks like on the cover: Silly, lighthearted fun where you go around on a wacky adventure, great for anybody who wants a relaxing little romp through a goofy world where nothing is that deep. The combat's on the easy side and it only gets easier the farther you get [especially if you like exploring], but the puzzles are actually solid to even really hard at times; I can only imagine the first person to ever find the secret boss took a good few hours trying to figure out the like seven step mystery to it. Or maybe I'm just stupid and missed something for said boss, that's also possible. Best way I have to describe this game for people who want to know what they're getting into is it's like if Gamefreak made a 2d zelda game starring Kirby instead of link (just without the lore a normal kirby game has), since it really does feel like a lot of the design ethos of Kirby can be felt in this game. It's not even because both have inhalation as a key mechanic, either. The game's really easy to get into but has a shocking bit of depth to it, especially if you want to go for 100% like me. Lastly, if you're somebody like me who enjoys doing achievements for games when possible? This game has a pretty solid set with only maybe three achievements that kinda suck to get (And there's thankfully a guide to help with them), so it's a pretty solid endorsement from me on that front.

Si vous êtes nostalgique de l'époque Zelda sur Super Nintendo / GB / GBA, je ne peux que vous recommandez ce jeu ! On incarne un chevalier (Kirby like ?) qui aspire presque tout sur son passage pour recracher sur ses ennemis pour les tuer. J'ai fini le jeu en mode facile (sinon c'est difficulté difficile, donc je n'ai pas testé) en presque 8h. Il y a plusieurs fins, mais j'ai oublié de sauvegarder juste avant donc tant pis pour faire toutes les fins. Cependant, il y a une partie new game+ qui se débloque lorsque vous finissez le jeu, si vous souhaitez continuer l'aventure avec vos compétences débloquées. Les graphismes, les musiques m'ont tellement fait rappeler l'époque GBA. De plus, il fonctionne parfaitement sur Steam Deck donc encore plus nostalgique de l'époque console portable. Foncez si vous aimez les petits jeux en pixel ambiance 16bits !
