For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. About
Build a kingdom from the ashes. Command vast armies. Choose your faction and fight for the Broken Crown.
Broken Crown is a fantasy real-time strategy game created for players who miss the scale, depth and direct tactical control of classic RTS titles.
Begin with a small group of survivors in a fractured world. Gather resources, establish a settlement, recruit an army and transform a vulnerable camp into a fortified stronghold.
But survival is only the beginning.
Beyond your walls lie unexplored lands, hostile armies, strategic passages and enemy settlements waiting to be destroyed. Every decision matters: where you expand, what you research, which troops you recruit and when you commit your forces to battle.
Command hundreds of soldiers in large-scale, formation-based combat where positioning, preparation and timing can matter more than numbers.
Infantry holds the frontline. Archers fire from protected positions. Spearmen stop enemy cavalry. Cavalry breaks exposed formations. Scouts uncover the unknown. Medics keep valuable troops alive. Leaders use powerful abilities to strengthen nearby forces and change the course of battle.
Choose between Humans and Orcs, build a faction-specific settlement and lead your army into campaign missions, skirmish battles, survival challenges or multiplayer warfare.
The crown is broken.
Now you must decide who will claim its fragments.
Broken Crown features two playable factions, each with its own visual identity, buildings, army and Leader.
Rebuild civilization from the ruins with organized armies, fortified settlements and disciplined military formations.
Human forces include:
workers;
infantry;
archers;
spearmen;
cavalry;
scouts;
medics;
powerful Leader units.
Construct defensive walls, gates and towers, develop your economy and advance through the research tree to transform a vulnerable settlement into a true kingdom.

Take command of the horde and build a complete Orc stronghold with dedicated buildings, faction colors, recruitment icons and military units.
The Orc army includes:
workers;
infantry;
archers;
spearmen;
wolf riders;
explorers;
support units;
an Orc Leader.
Orc units progress through the same complete Tier 1–5 advancement system, gaining increasingly powerful and distinctive appearances as new technologies are unlocked.
The Orcs are not simply a visual replacement for the Humans. They bring their own identity and battlefield presence to every match.
You no longer have to face the horde.
You can lead it.

Construct a complete settlement using workers, houses, farms, warehouses, walls, gates, towers, military buildings and research structures.
Watch structures rise through visible construction stages as your settlement develops from a fragile outpost into a fortified centre of power.
Use the drag-based wall placement system to rapidly create connected defensive lines. Instead of positioning every wall segment individually, draw the route of your fortification directly across the terrain.
Buildings that cannot currently be constructed are clearly represented, while active construction sites display immediate visual feedback.
Preparing your base for an attack is faster, clearer and more intuitive.
Lead hundreds of units while keeping formations readable, responsive and under direct control.
Create armies using infantry, archers, spearmen, cavalry, scouts, medics, workers and Leaders.
Protect vulnerable ranged troops behind your frontline. Use spearmen to defend against mounted units. Hold bridges and narrow passages. Send cavalry around enemy formations and strike exposed flanks.
Orders are communicated through clear movement indicators and directional arrows, allowing you to control both the destination and orientation of your formations.
Broken Crown is not about uncontrolled unit blobs or mindless clicking.
Battles reward awareness, preparation and decisive command.

Leader units are not simply stronger soldiers.
Each faction has access to a dedicated Leader capable of using active abilities to influence nearby troops and change the momentum of battle.
Correct positioning allows a Leader to reinforce an advance, support surrounding soldiers or stabilize a collapsing defensive line.
Protecting your Leader is important, but keeping them away from battle may mean wasting their greatest strength.
Used correctly, a Leader can become the centrepiece of your entire strategy.
Your army does not remain visually static.
Each main troop type can progress through five visual tiers, with increasingly advanced equipment and appearances that reflect your technological development.
A Tier 1 army and a Tier 5 army are immediately distinguishable on the battlefield.
Troops that survive combat also gain experience and advance through veteran ranks:
Bronze;
Silver;
Gold.
Veteran units receive a distinctive visual appearance, allowing experienced survivors to stand out within your army.
Keeping soldiers alive therefore has real value.
Losing a Gold veteran is not the same as losing a newly recruited unit. It means losing a soldier who survived enough battles to become part of your faction’s history.
Every map is shaped by terrain.
Explore forests, lakes, bridges, ruins, narrow passages, abandoned battlefields and natural choke points under a layered Fog of War system.
Territory can be:
completely unexplored;
previously discovered;
currently visible.
Scouts and explorers automatically prioritize unknown areas, making them more effective at revealing resources, possible expansion routes and approaching dangers.
The map and minimap display important strategic information, including:
resource locations;
explored and unexplored territory;
units and important structures;
the current visible camera area.
What you cannot see may already be preparing your defeat.
Gather and balance the resources needed to support a growing settlement and army.
Recruit workers, expand your production, increase storage capacity and decide where your economy should focus.
Every new military unit places additional pressure on your resources. Every defensive structure delays another possible investment. Every technological upgrade changes what your faction can accomplish.
A powerful army cannot survive without a stable economy.
Expand too quickly and your borders may become impossible to defend.
Remain too cautious and your enemies may take control of the map.
Advance through a detailed research tree containing improvements for:
resource gathering;
economic efficiency;
recruitment speed;
unit movement;
attack strength;
defensive capabilities;
building performance;
access to higher unit tiers.
Your research choices determine how your settlement develops and which advantages you can bring into battle.
Strengthen your economy before expanding.
Advance your army to a higher tier.
Improve recruitment to replace losses more quickly.
There is no single correct path. Your priorities should respond to the battlefield.
Broken Crown includes multiplayer battles with Steam integration.
Create a multiplayer lobby, invite Steam friends, select a playable map and prepare your faction for war.
Multiplayer supports the same core systems found in the rest of the game:
base building;
resource gathering;
research;
unit recruitment;
faction selection;
formation-based combat;
Fog of War;
large-scale armies.
Play as Humans or Orcs and fight across different faction combinations:
Humans against Humans;

Orcs against Orcs.
Host-authority validation and synchronized gameplay systems ensure that construction, recruitment, resource management and unit commands are handled consistently during the match.
Build together, compete for control of the map or destroy the opposing stronghold.
Choose Humans or Orcs, each with dedicated buildings, colors, recruitment visuals, armies and Leaders.

Running animations, impact reactions and knockback effects make battlefield engagements easier to read and more dynamic.

Jump directly to attacks, completed buildings and recruited units through interactive notifications.
Play campaign missions, skirmish battles, endless survival challenges and multiplayer matches.
Continue longer single-player campaigns and battles using the integrated save system.
Play with interface support for multiple languages.
Broken Crown rewards thinking, not spamming.
A larger army is not always enough.
Poor scouting can expose your settlement. A weak economy can stop an offensive before it begins. Reckless expansion can leave your borders undefended. Bad positioning can destroy an army that appeared unbeatable moments earlier.
Build carefully.
Explore before advancing.
Research upgrades that support your strategy.
Defend critical passages.
Protect your veteran troops.
Use your Leader at the right moment.
Strike when the enemy is vulnerable.
Victory comes from preparation, timing and battlefield control.
Lead Humanity through story-driven missions as it attempts to rebuild after the destruction of the old world.
Complete objectives, establish settlements, gather survivors and confront the forces threatening Humanity’s return.
Choose a map, prepare your faction and fight a standalone RTS battle.
Experiment with different strategies, army compositions and research paths without campaign restrictions.
Build a settlement and prepare for increasingly dangerous enemy waves.
Strengthen your economy, expand your defenses and keep your army alive for as long as possible.
Create or join a Steam lobby, choose Humans or Orcs and fight against another player across the complete RTS experience.

Enjoying my time with Broken Crown even in its early state. Dev is super responsive to suggestions and fixes, plus they are working on the multiplayer mode. Plays like a straightforward RTS should play. I really like the number of troops that can be controlled and the ease at which the camera can be rotated - inspect your troops from almost any angle. BC still needs more time in the oven but it is really going in the right direction.
