About

Protect yourself as long as you must in Box of Broken Nails - a surreal horror experience.
Use your hammer and nails to board up an unknown door with something breaking out. Find resources around your house and nail down planks in time. Don't let it open. No matter what.

There is only this one note, it reads:
"Since I started living here alone, the nights felt endless. I barely remember if my halls have been this way before. Lately I hear the sounds of my work from behind the walls. The plates are shattering over and over again. I’m just making things up again, am I not? There was never anything wrong with...
And even if, it changes nothing — what matters is that I simply must continue and make, make…
...Make it go away."
No text notes, no audio logs. The story unfolds through the gameplay itself and what it evokes in you.
A stressful game loop that changes over time.
An unexpected turn of events.
Only one outcome.
Box of Broken Nails contains flashing lights, strong camera shaking, and intentional visual distortion effects. Please use caution if you are affected by flashing or rapidly moving visuals.

Felt like I somehow dodged something a LOT bigger than I realized when I played it. I did.
For whatever mystery exists, the normal 30 minutes of playtime are an extremely well paced climb in horror that leaves with a satisfying ending. Secrets be damned, you do not need to complete a game to finish it.
Me personally, I find the Horrors quite comprehendible

A very tense experience with themes, should you choose to engage with them, that will leave you feeling introspective and wondering. It's short, it's interesting, it's scary! Play it! :)
This game is probably one of the only games that i would spend $7.49 on for 30 minutes of gameplay, it did more to scare me, and make me feel uncomfortable and tense then most popular horror games. Edit: this game is so much deeper and complex than you would think it is at first glance, it only took a couple more playthroughs for me to realise that this game has so much more depth to it than it lets on. I would definitely recommend playing this if you're looking for a cheap horror game(or even a game in general) that slowly makes you more insane with it's little hints and giveways to there being so much more to the game than you originally thought. As a final thing I will say this, don't believe everything this game wants you to believe because there is so much more to this story.
Extremely tense and atmospheric short horror game. Highly recommended.
Thanks for recomending the game PowerPak
Who's there?
As so many have said, I was lured to this project by the PowerPak video. It didn't disappoint! The abstract style and panicked gameplay really clicked with me. It's not a long game. It does exactly what it wants to, and doesn't overstay its welcome. Many games and narratives (indeed, many that I still adore) could learn from this example.
A shockingly good horror game for what it initially appears to be. Its a very simple concept, someone trying to break into your home but its actually Mark Z. Danielewski that's breaking down your door (?) and oh god oh ♥♥♥♥ I've run out of wood and nails an-
