BLUW WISH DESIRE is 2D veritically scrolling shmup. Go through the barrage and destroy the oncoming enemies. In addition, this game is equipped with an auto guard system that automatically prevents mistakes. So even those who are not good at barrage STG are safe.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

As intense and frantic like a Cave game, the Blue Wish series is made as an homage to the structure and design ethos of DoDonPachi DaiFukkatsu. Same brilliance in its adrenaline pumping bullet patterns and flow of the action. But happily, it looks and feels much more close to a Takumi shooting game (of Giga Wing, Mars Matrix and Nigh Raid fame). With ship designs that instead of look anime, use the pre-rendered 3D models that were so typical in the mid-90s and early 2000s STG Japanese games. Seriously, this feels like an obscure Japanese shooting game for the Sega Saturn that your friend brought to your home burned on a CD-R, that you never saw covered in a magazine of the time. But that decades later, investigating about the game, you find that is sold in eBay, reaching prices of various hundreds of dollars. And instead of the boring soundtracks of your typical Cave game, you have a 90s techno soundtrack, that most of the times has catchy and memorable melodic parts, resembling the Yuzo Koshiro compositions for the first two entries of Streets of Rage in its best moments. With well, other moments being more generic and forgettable, like the fourth level track. Also, it's stupidly friendly for beginners, because in all modes you can play with an auto-bomb action activated, that has a score penalty at the end of the run. And the main mechanic is a bar that you can charge doing damage to the enemies. Once refilled, you can activate a special mode that will serve as a bomb, clearing the screen of bullets. Making all the normal enemies to transform the surrounding bullets in medals once destroyed while you're in this mode. And if you are hit by a bullet while you are in this state, you won't lose a live, but the trance state will end. So at the end, you have other auto-guard option, that also serves to greatly increase your score, no penalties, and that you can use in parts in which you're not so confident of your skills. Making a super fun ride and accesible 1CC for novices in its Heaven difficulty mode. A super fast paced and challenging, but sill accesible to clear Normal mode. And a demented unlockable Hell difficulty mode for the experts, grating you many hours of entertainment. The icing on the cake is a scoring system that is simple to understand, full of secrets and small subtle details, offering great opportunities for those mastering the layouts. But still super satisfying for more casual play, thanks to the medal madness that will occur every time that you open an hidden treasure chest in the scenario. You can say that this is not an original or innovative game, but it makes a much more important thing: to show a masterful lesson in STG design, without a single flaw, and most importantly, opening the genre to all the publics, no matter the level of skill.

Whoopsies!~ Seems like I have forgotten to review Blue Wish Desire! Blasphemy!!!~ Unlike most of my reviews which have a habit of perturbing Steam's character limit, I'm going to keep this one simple(r) and cut to the chase: if you love STG's then you owe it to yourself, the community, and the developer to buy this game. At full price. X.X Gameroom is a stellar developer who has actually released pretty much all of their games for free. Blue Wish Desire is the first time I ever recall X.X releasing anything with a price tag attached to it, and I'll say it upfront: you're getting an incredible amount of value here. Blue Wish Desire is a down-to-earth chest-thumping (with the music to match) arcade-style STG with a scoring system similar-ish to the chips from Ketsui along with bullet patterns which take a lot of inspiration from Touhou. It's a match made in heaven. At its core though, Blue Wish Desire is your typical five-stage STG with both a boss and mid-boss in each stage and tons of enemies in-between. Where Blue Wish Desire absolutely shines though is the immense amount of precision in which each stage is choreographed; enemies and their projectiles come at you and overlap with each other with a frightening level of grace and fury and the action does not stop until the end-of-stage scorecard. Blue Wish Desire is fast, it's tight, and it does not wait. It's a non-stop adrenaline rush from start to end, and I cannot get enough of it. And the music, oh, the music. Especially the Stage 1 music. It's sublime, and it'll get your heart racing for the action. Blue Wish Desire also offers four difficulty levels to cater to a wide range of player skill; Heaven (Easy) and Original (Normal) are the two starting difficulties, with Hell and Accel being unlocked after a 1CC in Original and Hell respectively. Hell has much tighter bullet patterns than Original, and Accel follows the same bullet patterns as Original but at twice the speed. Yeah. Blue Wish Desire in Accel has got to be some of the most insane fun I've ever had in any STG. As things stand, Blue Wish Desire isn't exactly what you'd call a pedestrian-paced shmup. Dial the difficulty up to Accel and you'll be laughing like an absolute maniac. It's completely nuts. If Boost Mode in Crimzon Clover is your cup of tea, then you'll absolutely love Accel. And finally: while you'll only be presented with two ships to choose from when you first launch the game, there are an additional three which you can unlock after clearing the game with the two starting ships. And if you manage to 1CC the game in each of the four difficulty levels for a given ship, you'll unlock a gold variant which disables bombs but grants permanent-hyper which despite what you may think actually makes the game harder as being cornered without bombs results in a swift and inevitable death. Yeah. Pair a gold ship with Accel though and you'll be screaming your lungs out. Again, it really reminds me of Boost Mode in Crimzon Clover. You may not get your clear, but oh boy will it be the most amount of deranged fun you'll ever have in an STG. What a masterpiece. Buy it!~ (P.S. Yep, this is my grand idea of a short review @_@!!!~) <3
I have been playing this series for over a decade. Blue Wish Desire is by far the best Blue Wish game and arguably the best X.X Game Room project (at least until the new Eden game comes out). As a lifelong bullet hell enjoyer, I rank this amongst the best ever shooters in the genre, up there with things like Ketsui and DDPDFK, if not above. The pre-rendered art style is timeless, the music absolutely slaps, the visuals are high contrast enough to keep things readable during even the most intense bullet patterns, and the bullet patterns themselves are super fun (and also innovative at times). I really cannot overstate how class this game is, it was a dream come true when it was announced and I wish I've had more free time since it released to dig deeper into it. If you like shmups, buy this and then go throw money at X.X's itch for the rest of the Blue Wish and Eden games. GOATed
Amei!
I saw another review saying something along the lines of "glad to finally have an opportunity to pay this dev for their work" I second that. Been a fan of X.X Game Room's work for over a decade now. Plain and simple, this game is excellent. Challenging and satisfying as heck. Play it!
RECOMENDADISSIMO: Se você piscar, perde! Esse jogo é um bullet hell insano com animações que não te deixam respirar!
los "bullet pattern" de este jueguito me ponen el pito duro.-
peak game, will recomend
This is an excellent excellent shmup clearly made with love and experience in the genre. If I had to be reductive I'd say it's Cave-esque, with the mechanics and design sensibilities of CV1000 games like Mushi/DFK with the game feel of PGM games like Ketsui and DOJ. Played half on the Steam Deck where it works perfectly fine. Just get a layout that maps the keyboard (I have one posted, but I see others). It's classic arcade shmup fare through and through. Highlights: - 5 no-BS stages, with midboss and multi-phase end boss in every stage. Stage 1 starts fast, so no DDP stage 1 snoozefest. Stages are good and feature land and air enemies that make sense with the stage background. - Excellent bullet visibility, though enemy visibility could udebabvut if eirk - Multiple difficulties, multiple ships, and toggleable generous auto-bomb. Original difficulty is manageable and easier than DFK 1-ALL with a strong type ship. Haven't tried hell. - Cave-style buttons (like DFK): fire, autofire, bomb, hyper. - Hyper cancels every bullet, grants you a short amount of invulnerability, and makes killing enemies cancel bullets close to them, important for scoring. - Support for tate mod, fast resets, and has a training mode. If you're a fan of the bullet hell subgenre or enjoy PGM-era Cave games, you can't go wrong with this game. Some cons: - Graphics are what they are. I find they are okay though nothing spectacular. Clarity is good enough. - Dying is brutal scoring-wise because it sets your chip count to 0, ouch. - Replays can desync. Trying to see if there's a reason for this.
