BLOOD MALL: RETAPED

Aunque es un juego breve, consigue ser bastante divertido. La presencia del Hastovenator aporta emoción y mantiene la tensión, ya que nunca sabes cuándo aparecerá para perseguirte. Claro que también puedes jugar a tu ritmo, pero el encuentro con el dinosaurio siempre termina sorprendiendo.

Blood Mall: Retaped is a short indie horror that has no business being as fun as it is. Great story, great visuals and some very fun voice acting across a quirky collection of characters. There are some great horror references in here that you can very easily breeze by so take your time. The Evil Dead reference went so hard and genuinely made me chuckle. I see there are plans for a second game and I hope its just as fun as this one. Now to go back and unlock all the achievements!

the itch.io game is better, they (for some reason) ruined the perfect gunplay of the first game and made the game unecessarely annoying,

Dieses Spiel hat mich sofort an meinen Lieblingsfilm aus der Kindheit erinnert: Godzilla (1998). Dort gibt es eine Szene, in der sich die Figuren durch ein Einkaufszentrum schleichen, Eier zerstören und vor den kleinen, dinoähnlichen Godzillas fliehen. Genau diese Atmosphäre kam mir beim Spielen sofort wieder in den Sinn. Damit enden die Gemeinsamkeiten allerdings auch schon. Das Spiel setzt stattdessen auf eine bewusst gewählte N64-Optik, die allein durch ihre kantigen Modelle und verwaschenen Texturen bereits einen ganz eigenen Horrorcharme erzeugt. Genau diese Ästhetik verleiht dem Spiel eine besondere Atmosphäre und macht einen großen Teil seines Reizes aus. Allerdings sollte man keine lange Spielerfahrung erwarten. Das Spiel ist sehr schnell durchgespielt, und selbst alle Errungenschaften lassen sich in etwa 90 Minuten freischalten. Trotz seiner kurzen Spielzeit bleibt das Erlebnis überraschend lange im Gedächtnis. Vielleicht liegt es an der ungewöhnlichen Atmosphäre, vielleicht an der gelungenen Retro-Optik – auf jeden Fall hinterlässt das Spiel einen bleibenden Eindruck. Und für gerade einmal 1,99 € macht man ohnehin kaum etwas falsch.

Blood Mall: Retaped is a very short, but very enjoyable horror comedy about a dinosaur going on a murderous rampage in a mall. You are not the dinosaur, instead you're a hunter sent in with a shotgun to kill it. The voice acting is comedic, not professional but it certainly doesn't have to be for this type of game. The graphics have a cool style, and the overall aesthetic is quite cool. The story is barebones, but fun nonetheless. ALSO, this is the remastered version with Steam achievements and some improvements to justify a price tag. It also serves as an advertisement for the sequel the developer is making. For which, I am very excited. There is a free older version available from the developer, though I don't remember where they posted the OG version of the game. So that's somewhere if you want, but I think supporting this developer monetarily is the better option.

Blood Mall Retaped is short, really short actually. I played the game 4 times, going for 100% completion which i succeeded in. The Achievements are a fun time to get and the characters are very fun horror tropes. The most memorable achievements are 'Kill all the survivors in one run', 'shoot every trash can in the game', and 'beat the game in under 9 minutes' I had a lotta fun with this game and it was a fun time to complete, whenever the sequel comes out (teased in the final cutscene), 81 minutes and two euros well spent!

엄청 재미있었습니다 긴장도 되고 쫄깃하기도 하고 뭔가 심리적으로 무섭기도 하고 그리고 사운드도 빵빵해서 너무 즐거웠습니다. 후속작 기대하고 있겠습니다.
