BLITZ ARENA is a free to play multiplayer FPS that mixes shooting with a bunch of different party game modes. You can play alone, with a team or with friends and compete in tournaments where you earn points from each game mode. The best thing about BLITZ ARENA is the amount of different modes. You can play normal fights, Gun Game, Battle Royale, Dodgeball and Runner, so there is more to do than just playing the same type of match every time. There are 15 game modes in total, which gives the game quite a bit of variety. The tournament system is also a good idea. Instead of just playing one match, you are trying to finish as high as possible across the different modes to get enough points to win the tournament. This makes every round feel like it actually matters. There are also 25 weapons, 10 grenades and 8 maps to play on. You can unlock 9 different skins as you play, and there are leaderboards for people who want to compete for better scores. The different game modes can lead to some funny and chaotic moments. Dodgeball is especially unusual because you use remote controlled rockets and have to throw them back at other players. Battle Royale also adds something different from the usual arena matches. The biggest problem is the player count. The game has a fairly small community, and SteamDB has recorded an all time peak of only 10 players. That can make it difficult to find people to play with, which is a big problem for a multiplayer game. The reviews are also mixed at the moment. Steam currently shows 20 reviews with a Mostly Positive rating, while other Steam data shows the overall response has become more mixed as more reviews have been added. Overall, BLITZ ARENA has some good ideas and a lot of different game modes for a small multiplayer shooter. The main issue is finding enough people to actually play with. If the player base was bigger, the different modes and tournament system could make this a much more enjoyable party game. Rating: 7/10
