Blackjack Math is a simple Adobe Flash/browser tier math puzzle game. Drag and drop cards around various mathematical operators until they add up to 21. This is a lot like just watching Countdown and trying to solve the problems yourself, which isn't all that hard if you have enough time to do it. So why make a video game about pretending you have longer than you should have to solve maths problems? Obviously this is the kind of thing that could just be done on a web page. There's more sophisticated mobile games, and have you seen mobile gamers? It's kind of insulting to see this kind of garbage on the Steam store. We have to remember this is a platform for PC games.
I really enjoy this game as in this time.
This game is alright. Decent enough to recommend despite needing some slight QoL in my opinion. The game consists of 50 levels. You swap cards around until the board equals 21 through addition, subtraction, multiplication and division (oh god). The first levels are intuitive, but later levels become very challenging, therefore I don't recommend it to people who hate math. Something I found annoying is when you play around with cards in a level trying to get closer to the solution (or just fidgeting) and you find it. The annoyance comes from not really being able to process the solution. It's so sudden, and it takes away from the eureka effect when you figure out the solution. Also, it has the polish of a flash game. I guess that is to be expected from a game that's being sold for 80 cents, and, to be fair, I've seen flash game-y stuff that shouldn't be on Steam, let alone have a price. This is fine for what it is, compared to "generic maze game #2944" and all the other garbage, but is a volume slider really that hard to implement? I'm not complaining about the lack of it, but this is something that normally indicates a mediocre-at-best game for me (it does not apply to this game though). Overall, I can recommend it to people who like mathematical puzzles despite its shortcomings.
