I bought Black Mesa a few years ago when I couldnt enjoy the old half life anymore on my modern day rig with a modern monitor. I loved every second of playing Black Mesa it actually blew me away. Then this week I got the Blue Shift mod for Black Mesa, and I am not kidding when I say this is without a doubt the best shooting game experience Ive ever had. I need more source engine content!!!! I cannot believe how good it looks in this modern version. I simply cannot recommend this enough, and am at a loss for words. Im gonna have to see if someone did Opposing Force too. If youre on the fence or looking for a good modern shooter this is it. I will actually go as far as to say Black Mesa Blue Shift is my favorite game now.
