You can tell that the dev team are big fans of Sisyphus, given how Xen (especially Interloper) was massively expanded, combined with there being not one but THREE achievements involving carrying props to the end of the game. Any appreciation for the work put into this project was easily overshadowed by constantly having to make sure the hat hadn't phased out of existence the second it left Gordon's view. Most of the improvements over the original Half Life seem to be graphics-based, so if that's not the most important thing to you, I'd suggest just playing the original instead.
