This is my absolute favorite of sorting/cleaninig games so far. It has so many different items and stores and it isn't just sorting and storing items, no, you also have to clean. With 32.000 tasks to do, you're occupied for a long, long time and it is very addicting too. The best feature that was ever implemented is that the items spawn nearby the shop as well as show you what you're missing in each section. The abilities are a little underwhelming but that's fine. Now I never cared about AI, but it seems to be free off that as well, so that's a big plus for people not supporting it. What I really would like to see: -One day another map with more cleaning variety (not just sweep the floor for dirt/spills) -No skill run + Achievements (man why am I asking for this......) -Coop forsure, especially with a no skill run Well done, dev.
I've played about 5 of these now across different platforms and can firmly say this is the best of them. No AI, huge play area, realistic feeling mall with individual items. Performance is good considering it's UE5 and lots of settings to tweak. If you are as autistic about these games as I am then this is podcast paradise.

Cleaning an entire mall has made me suspicious that I am in some sort of Last Starfighter style situation and my skills cleaning up a supermarket will have me abducted to do a job nobody else can do. Probably in a Tesco or whatever the space version of Tesco is.
I was actually hesitant to buy this game because of the sheer size of it. However, I LOVE IT. You can tell the dev knows this genre and designed it right. Things are organized around the shops so while some items might be out in the walkway, they aren't that far from their shop. Then the fact I can carry 15 fridges tickled me silly. It made me so happy too because I can easily organize such big items. The cleaning part I love. You replace furniture and signs, wipe up dirt, and pick up trash. There are NO TRASH BAGS. Just zen trash pickup. Highly recommend this game.
my very first pc game and i love it
In an avalanche of Librarian copycats this game stood out to me. I was drawn in by the unique setting that lent to a lent variety of items to organize & the apparent effort made to make it feel like a legit mall. I was permanently hooked by the localizing of items (objects are close to the store they belong to), the progression (in skills & in the gradual increase in complexity as you get further in), the way they handled skills, & the addition of non-organizing tasks that lend to the feeling of cleaning up after a seasonal man-made disaster. I don't know what percentage of the game was paid assets vs original dev work but the game shows real thought and effort was put into making it a smooth & cohesive experience (also fun but that's harder to measure objectively). Even if you born post-decline of malls this is a fun window into a bit of historical Americana. I give this game a solid solid 9 out of 10 (scale is based on what is currently available in this niche sub-genre). Other Positives -No achievement for completing the mall without using active skills. This is probably a downside for anyone who needs a shiny badge proving they completed a self-imposed no-skills challenge, but great for everyone who wants the satisfaction of 100% achievements without dumping 50 hours into the game (the location is technically small by mall standards but huge when compared to other organizing games). I highly anyone attempting to complete the mall without active skills allow themselves at least 1 level in reveal tasks for when they get close to the endgames. -The dev is very active in updating. I never noticed any bugs myself but they seem to have been very responsive in fixing any noticed by players. -No Generative Ai! Sadly the success of Librarian set a precedent for a lot of copycats to slap together some gen-ai slop. It's good to see some quality Gen-AI free organizing games making their way onto the storefront. -The most settings options I've ever seen in a organizing game. A number graphic options, gameplay options, & modifiable key binds that lends to the highest level of customization and accessibility that I yet seen in the organization genre. Other Neutrals -Certain items are re-used in multiple stores (particularly in the store "Peers"), it's something I noticed but not something that actually bothered me (The majority of stock is unique to the individual store with the repeat items usually being different colors/patterns to set them apart) Nitpicks -It is a bit silly to be able to carry 10 refrigerators at once. I'm not mad about it (I had a bit of a laugh over it) but it does feel a bit odd in a setting that's semi-grounded in reality.
The absolute pinnacle of the tidy-up genre and a love letter to the nostalgic hyper-consumerism of shopping malls. Black Friday janitor has an obscene amount of content for the price, with each store containing its own items speciific to that store. Other tidy-ups might build an entire game around a supermarket or a tech store, while Black Friday Janitor combines them all into an incredibly satisfying, well-balanced experience. Massive props to the devs for not using the same cookie-cutter asset packs as thousands of other tidy-ups. Makes a world of difference. Incredible game and the best of the genre. 10/10
9/10 long and relaxing. Needs a few lighting tweaks and maybe a few more details like signs on the bathrooms. One of the better organizing games. Makes me miss my old retail job <3
Love this game....im sad thought cause ive almost finished it.
