You are a bird. You have a nest. Other birds want your eggs. Birds of War is a team-based aerial PvP game. Raid nests, steal eggs, fight beak-to-beak in fast, chaotic matches built around flight and combat. Your mic is always hot. Your enemies can hear you. Plan accordingly.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.86/day in the week to Aug 29 → 6.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
A Shoebill just headbutted your teammate into a tree. A Crow is halfway home with your last egg, and every enemy on the map can hear you losing it over voice chat.
3v3v3 aerial combat. Nine birds, three nests, one goal: the team with the most eggs in their nest at the end wins.
Raid enemy nests, extract their eggs, bring them home, and defend your own nest while everything falls apart around you.
Proximity chat is active in every game. You will hear the enemy before you see them, and they will hear you too.
Four birds at launch, with more on the way: Crow the stealth assassin, Hummingbird the speed demon, Shoebill the tank, and Pigeon the support menace with UAV-style marking.
Combat is melee-first and physics-driven. Every elimination feels earned, and every fight feels like an all-out war.
Zero pay-to-win. Nothing in the shop makes your bird hit harder or fly faster.
In late 2025, we saw a meme about a fake bird game that did not exist. HexNest Games is now building it in Unreal Engine 5 with the support of the Discord community.

we are not prey. the tyrants shall fall. war is the only way.
Absolutely love the concept, but for a game about bird combat feels very stiff and un-agile.
I think the game is very fun and creative, this could just be my laptop but Its a little choppy for me. I do think it is a very fun game and I really like the cosmetics and the different play styles but so far the community has been very cod like. I've played for less then 30 mins and have been called the N-word more than 40 times. I've only played 3 games.

The userbase and vcs are completely unmoderated and it's just a cesspit of toxicity and slurs. Also, the only time you can report someone is before the game, in the lobby. So when people spam slurs on loud soundboards in your game, there's a small chance you could even report them. Game mechanics are alright, pretty average when it comes to indie games. If they fixed their horrible player base, then I'd say it's worth the $10.
A hero-based aerial shooter with two main gamemodes: KOTH and CTF-type objectives. As of right now, there are ten classes that give a variety of gameplay approaches. For instance, the seagull is designed to disrupt with a slowing cone and powerful skillshots, while the hummingbird is best at going in and out with fast attacks. Balancing wise, I definitely get more annoyed at certain classes, but nothing felt unfairly powerful. The variety definitely gives a lot to explore. Gameplay is fast-paced in-and-out type encounters. The movement is pretty good; you get a dash and gain momentum diving, so there are a good amount of things you can pull off. Sometimes the movement is slightly frustrating-- when walking, sometimes I would get stuck trying to get on top of the nest until I started flying again, and that gap of time is hugely significant with how fast the game moves. I also hated how crashing into walls/ the ground gives you a pretty long stun. Definitely just takes a bit of getting used to to avoid, but it is VERY punishing. The game takes a little bit to learn, but doesn't feel intimidating, at least to me. The biggest thing is getting comfortable with the physics and learning how to use the lock-on mechanism efficiently. The biggest issue with the game is something that is absolutely not its own fault: playerbase. I will say, a lot of reviews say that they had long matchmaking queues/ couldn't find a game. I haven't run into this issue. Naturally, sometimes there are more active players, and there are times where you will get the same few people repeatedly. I have never been bothered by this, but some people will certainly dislike being matched with level 50+ players that have far more experience with the game. Now, the biggest promising aspect: it seems the devs are very active and passionate about the game. It is under active development and receiving pretty big content updates. I would definitely recommend giving the game a try if it sounds interesting to you!
its a lot of fun worth the money, lobbies may take some time to get players but thats just because the game needs more publicity better than every recent CoD entry since 2019
Fun but halfbaked. Needs work on matchmaking and gamemodes, other than that it feels like simple things could be made to fix it. Like a lobby list so you don't have to fight the same people over and over until you roll your eyes and close the game. showed promise.
I've gotten and this is not a joke the same people in 30 different separate games that's how dead this ♥♥♥♥ slop of a game is. The worst part the game play itself is fine id even call it borderline good the game is great, its the dev teams and there discord that crush it though I've never ran across the biggest group of cry baby's against free speech in my life if they don't like you you will be banned for just existing. My first ban was for posting a custom game code in chat so others could join me, literally testing a feature of the game no one else seemed to be using. Its sad and pathetic and it all stemmed from me asking why there's only one game mode in quick match when there's 6 game modes in total that work. Genuinely trashiest team for a game I've ever seen and thats why no matter what you get roughly the same 20 players every single lobby and im convinced half of them or either bots or the devs themselves promoting there own game. Every new player quits in a week the players you will find or already lvl 50 plus and are all squadded and just gank the freshies there's no way for new players to learn the game. And i say this as someone who got the game day one reached level 40ish and genuinely performed pretty well in game. Overall has potential just like the game they copied the whole idea from sadly it falls victim to the same ♥♥♥♥ garbage devs/admins on a power trip at the slightest of criticism. Maybe the next dev team that copies this copy will be better. The only part I think I enjoy about this game is its so dead atleast I know the people ill be going up against before I ever join the match.
I generally dont like this style of game, but this is peak. Now naturally I got it just because it was birds, but the gameplay is great. I really like the custom options for bird skins, the creativity, and genuine work behind it all. I highly suggest it, and hope more players join up. Itll make for some great clips, and they even have rewards for clips that get at least 10k views. (@Spookithy) This is lining up to be one of my fav games, along with DOOM, Metro, and Ghost Recon. You should try it out, its great for clips, playing solo, or with pals, and just real enjoyment. ps. THE CONTROLS ARENT INSANE, THEYRE ACTUALLY NORMAL
Watch the trailer. The game is exactly that, and I'm having a great time with it. Perfect? No. Really fun potential? Absolutely. Get in while the playerbase is still friendly. Edit: about 3 hours in and now after a loss got this gem from a clear teenager: "YOU'RE ALL TRASH. N-WORD. N-WORD. N-WORD. N-WORD. N-WORD. REAL F**S!" Devs: For the love of Jesus. If you don't want this game to die in its crib, you have to crack down on these a-holes before they ruin it.
