About
From the co-creator of Eufloria and Receiver 2 comes a new indie extravaganza!
Use supercharged photography to explore one of the deepest and most emergent ecosystems in games. Part Metroidvania, part future science expedition, Bioframe gives players the means to master a vast world in which all creatures react to each other in complex ways, with frequently unexpected results.
The more the player understands their environment, the more they can find outrageous ways to make creatures part of gameplay solutions.
Bioframe’s eco system is so dynamic that players can create their own gameplay mechanics.
No torch for that dark, dangerous cave?
Photo-Stun a Laser Plant to steal its Glow Orb, stick it on a nervous Lizard, drive it ahead of you, and it will light the way while you follow at a safe distance.
There are countless ways players can create useful outcomes and develop new tactics. Snapping creatures doesn’t just stun them, it also unlocks all their behavioural quirks contained in their many AI states.
Bioframe avoids guns and any other cliched weapons. Everything in the world can be used, offensively or defensively, according to player preference and their knowledge of the world. Lateral thinking is key and easily rewarded.
Are vampiric butterflies in the way? Lure them with their favourite food and add them to your inventory to create a portable attack swarm. Release them near enemies and they clear the way for you.
Bioframe offers unparalleled freedom to enterprising players.

Massive narrative-driven single player campaign
Vast interactive open world

Totally digging the visuals. The camera scanning creatures and plants is super cool and adds a fun twist. You gotta figure out how all these creatures interact, which makes the gameplay even more interesting. Things get super fun once you snag the jetpack. If you're into metroidvania games, give this one a go.
生態系や敵同士のインタラクションを重視したメトロイドヴァニア。 植物に覆われた廃墟で敵を観察しつつ、生態系を利用して進んでいく。 世界がつながっており、探索の楽しみもある。 もっとこういう系増えてほしい。
I love sneaking around in this game to find tool upgrades and find ways to distract the spiders <3

I was a eufloria fan and loved the raw strategic simplicity of it, so basic but challengiig. This was a bi different, this was more than expected. Its great that you get frustrated enough but not enough to rage quit. You kind of forget the mechanics because its so novel at times, but its that kind of game that makes you shift between "I'm such a dumbass" and "damn I'm a genius" so frequently its always edging between torcher and endorphin boost.
A lovely side scrolling sci-fi game, which seems to be focused on exploration and puzzle solving. Using your camera, snap objects and creatures around you in their different states to learn more about them and the lore of the world, so you can figure out how to interact (and get past) them. There seems to be some very cool emergent gameplay where you can trigger the denizens of this place to interact with each other in different ways with the consequences allowing you to progressing further into the story. So far great visuals, audio, polish and story.
This is obviously a labor of love, but it's hard to the point of not being fun at all. I took a teleporter to an area I just don't have the fuel/health/items/freeze to get through and I'm basically soft locked as the teleporters are all one way unless you navigate to the exit of the area which is guarded by around 9000 enemies. Had I not gotten this for ~$5, I'd give it a thumbs down. At $5, I can't complain too much I guess.
It's a pearl among metrioidvanias. Very unique gameplay, beautiful visuals, decent lore. The ecosystems where species interact whether player is present or not are so cool. This aspect blows my mind every time I see it in a game, because the usual set is that everything you encounter in a metroidvania is designed to kill you. This game is different, I would say, one of a kind. It encourages me to explore every single nook, gather every piece of information, find out every way to interact with the world, I just can't stop playing. Exceptional work.
It turns out that this is a point & click adventure game with occasional platforming. It can't really be enjoyed as a metroidvania. Actually, I never found out if this is or is not a metroidvania as i got bored before I could. Recommended for fans of games like outer wilds as well as for fans of detective games and point & click adventures. Not recommended for metroidvania fans.
Super enjoyable game! It's an interesting take on the metroidvania genre. You can’t shoot at anything with a gun; you have to rely completely on a fire extinguisher, a jetpack and a camera. The game is pretty slow and methodical with an intriguing story. Scanning the creatures in all the different states can be tough, but it makes the game so much easier the play when you have all that info. It rewards experimenting with different strategies when it comes to using the creatures in the environment against one another. Ultimately the game won’t hold your hand; it will leave it up to you on how to deal with the enemy units.
The world and level design are basically one big puzzle. The whole camera scanning creatures and plants thing is actually great, and figuring out how they react is pretty awesome. TIP: Scan everything! Trust me, you’ll thank me later.
