Big Ambitions is a revolutionary role-playing business sim. Go from nothing to the biggest entrepreneur in New York by opening small businesses or slowly building huge corporations any way you like.

Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 20/day in the week to Aug 28 → 78.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Your bank balance is tiny, but your ambitions are big.
With a little help from your uncle, you get an apartment and your first job. But then it's up to you to achieve success and take over New York City any way you like.
Slowly build multiple small businesses, grow them into huge corporations, or carve your own unique path – the possibilities are limitless in this vast business sandbox. You've never played anything like this!
Go from a small apartment and public transport to luxury suites, fast cars and designer furniture. Put your money into investment funds and real estate. Succeed, fail, rebuild. But remember to take care of yourself, sleep and stay happy on your rise to the top.
Do you have what it takes to build your own empire?

Go from nothing to the most prominent tycoon in New York. Start a business, work smart, make it thrive and enjoy your life. How do you want to be successful? How far can you push it? How long can you make it last?
Start your own gift shop, supermarket, coffee shop, law firm, clothing store, liquor store, florist, and more. You decide what success is - whether it’s a single shop, a chain of fast-food restaurants, a huge corporation, or making millions developing websites.
Take out a loan, rent a building, design the logo, renovate the store, get stock, manage your money, hire staff, and build your infrastructure. Soon, you may have to start importing products from the harbour and distributing them through a network of warehouses.
A bigger business means managers. Hire HR Managers, Logistics Managers, and Purchasing Agents. They all need desks and computers, so you’ll need a fancy headquarters.
Need a delivery truck? Travel to a dealer and buy one. Need food? Go to a supermarket, but make sure you have a refrigerator at home. Big Ambitions is a life sim where your character has to physically interact with the world to survive and succeed.
Enter any building in New York and buy it. Go from a small apartment to a dream penthouse in midtown, a luxurious townhouse in Hell’s Kitchen, or a series of skyscrapers. Fill each with furniture that suits your style and standing. Invest your hard-earned cash in real estate to grow your empire. Take over the city piece by piece.
Spend your wealth however you wish. Buy a big SUV, a speedy sports car, or the new luxurious Mersaidi S500. Maybe risk it all at the casinos or put your money into investment funds and reap the rewards.
As you progress, you always need to ensure you get enough sleep and stay healthy and happy. Enjoy the journey, for as you grow older, you’ll discover that money can’t buy you time... or can it?
Big Ambitions takes what you love about the viral sensation ‘Startup Company’ to even greater heights.

This really captures what starting a business is like. I really love the variety of businesses you can do, and how all internal operations work. For an early access game, this is one of the best business tycoon game I've ever played.

For every good thing about this game there are like 3 mechanics that don't need to exist, only serve to annoy the player or waste their tame and only add to the end product being worse for no reason. EDIT: So after many hours i don't feel like my original review was clear enough about my issues with this game. It has a lot of great mechanics built into it, I love the customization, the day to day sims like gameplay is great. BUT You have to trudge through a lot of needless inconvenience and just general hostile design to enjoy this game. Shin deep. For a starters in early game you will struggle with parking tickets. If you park wrong you get a fine. So you try to park correctly and ding your car up in the process, you then have to pay $1200 plus $500 tow fee just to fix your car you need to ferry stuff around to your businesses. Then you have to tolerate the constant chest high walls put in place to stop you from setting up your businesses too quickly. For instance to open a clothes store you need -a warehouse. The cheapest one I can find requires an up front fee of over $20,000 -You also need a headquarters for a purchasing agent -after that you need a purchasing agent. -To get a purchasing agent you need to go to one specific hiring agency, wade through the bad options before training up a good option. -Once you get your purchasing agent you need to select an importer. I just had to go through all of them until I found one that actually sells clothes. This alone is a massive chore. why not just have a clothes wholesaler or just let me be my own product agent until I use another one to automate the process? Also the NPC driving is terrible. Not even in a "haha new york drivers bad" sense, more in a "devs couldn't be bothered making a more gradient stopping distance and speed". Instead they drive at full speed and come to a dead stop within an inch of your car. which obviously adds to the fees you have to pay to fix it. At a certain point a lot of players including myself just sell the car. just taxi around and give up on driving completely. If you're a dev reading this, I don't dislike you nor your game but it is annoying as heck.. Yes I recommend it with a great big BUT. It's still only early access and the devs seem to still be updating it now and again I'd like to see them strip away a lot of the chore mechanics just a bit and add more fresh, in-depth customisation, exploration, new types of stores, new building sizes and layouts, also modifying internal walls within stores (if possible) I've heard they're going to add a new district once it leaves early access whether that means new map or extension to the old on I'm very hopeful they'll build on this game. It has a lot of potential even if it does force me to save and exit now and then.

So I was certain I had already written a review, but apparently not. WIth 1.0 hitting and more than 200 hours clocked, I'll cut to the chase : awesome game, stop reading, go buy and play it. It's a great dive in business management, with depth, cutomization, loooooots of logistics to learn and handle, my inner Factorio self is content with handling the whole setup for a given market, even though they (thankfully) simplfied factories and it now implies way less belts than it used to, you still get this satisfying feeling when completing your brand new supply chain. The mix of character management (food, happiness), Sims-like elements and raw management aspects can be a bit confusing at first, but I find it to work very well overall. The RPG player in me would almost appreciate that our guy would get a bit more customization and skills to work on but hey, that's probably just me. On that side, the only "xp" you can get is taking 5 mandatory business school courses, required to unlock some capabilities as you advance. I won't spoil too much but, to give you an example, one of them allows you to manage more than one business... And you'll need it soon enough, as you expand into running tens of those. Aside from that, not much to say. It's Capitalsm: The Game, in a nutshell and, while I don't quite share these values IRL, I thoroughly enjoy playing them. Why might this game not be for you: if you don't like spreadsheets, if you can't bring yourself to treat your employees as a resource, if you don't have big ambitions, probably better to seek another endeavour. Otherwise, if you love designing your stores -or not, since the workshop is filled with cool designs from other players (kudos JH)- if you enjoy crushing your competition and ousting them from their own turf, and working your way up the food chain, literally or figuratively, to end up owning an indecent villa in the Hamptons, I don't understand why you're still reading this, instead of starting your journey as a near-hobo in the Big Apple and go deliver some Uber to fund your very first gift shop.
i really love and enjoy this game, great work
