Big Ambitions is a revolutionary role-playing business sim. Go from nothing to the biggest entrepreneur in New York by opening small businesses or slowly building huge corporations any way you like.

I've put a few hours into this game and I can say that it scratches the simulation / management itch. The developers are good about updates and bug fixes and I've enjoyed watching the project grow over the years. And after all this time, I still enjoy the game.
AMAZING radio stations LOVE the gameplay loop HATE the UI, surface level "life sim" mechanics that bog down the momentum of the game. First time I've ever posted a review. Bear with me. The UI in this game is terrible. The "schedule" tab on your businesses are in different spots depending on weather their offices or retails. Having to contact every importer through a text interface. Multiple Text interfaces. You spend about 70% of the start of this game texting people. Most of the mechanics are adorable to start but become tedious, repetitive, momentum killers. Hunger doesn't matter. Car health is forgettable until you have a bumper to bumper incident and then you have to spend 5 minutes getting towed and are put 5 minutes away from the location you were going to. Having to visit locations to get their contact info forces you to explore the city, pretty understandable. BUT not being able to tell which location sells what and which importers import what before visiting a location leads to a huge amount of time being wasted going to a place, realizing they don't have what you need, then having to go to a different location across town. HR automatic scheduling is terrible. There's an itch this game scratches that'll force me to play for 10 more hours hoping things get a little easier to play.
游戏设想得不错,就是玩着太累,座驾很容易碰坏,还得睡觉吃东西,很麻烦,开局有引导但是不详细,还得查攻略,满地图跑来跑去的,不是很推荐
I’m about 8 hours into the game, which I feel is roughly the point where you start deciding whether you want to keep playing or not. So I definitely haven’t seen everything the game has to offer yet, and some of my impressions might change later on. This is simply how I see the game at this point, and I’ll update the review as I play more. First of all, its addictive :D There’s so much potential in this game. The "early game" is especially great, particularly when you’re setting up your first business and don’t have enough money for everything yet. Driving all over the city, visiting different stores, buying supplies and equipment, trying to parallel park as close to the entrance as possible, throwing everything out of the car, and rushing off to the next store. Meanwhile, you’re working a side job just to get enough money for the equipment you need to finally open your business, because that loan is already ticking away. It actually does a pretty good job of capturing the life of someone starting a new business. After your 20th delivery run, though, once the business starts making money and getting out of bed no longer feels worth it for $300, you reach what I think is the turning point of the game. I started on Hard mode because I wanted as much challenge as possible, but I don’t really find it difficult. Once a business gets going, you have a fairly predictable profit, and from that point you can basically just wait for the daily money to roll in. Employees can work 50 hours a week, don’t need days off, and can still be 100% satisfied with their lives as robots. :D Human resources barely require any management, even though in real life people are usually the most unpredictable part of running a business. :) I also haven’t noticed any indication that buying more equipment increases things like your electricity bill. Because of that, there isn’t much strategy involved in deciding what equipment to buy, how much of it you need, or which business is worth investing more money into. If you have the money — which is basically just a matter of sleeping enough days — there isn’t much risk involved. Once your existing businesses are fully set up, they basically become money printers. Nothing breaks down, and there don’t seem to be unexpected problems that suddenly need your attention ASAP. Because of that, there’s not much reason to build up an emergency fund for difficult periods either. For me, this takes away some of the excitement. Time stops while you’re managing your businesses through the apps, which makes sense. But once everything is automated, there isn’t much else to do while waiting. So if you actually want time to pass, you end up repeatedly going to sleep. Although one of my employees has just developed a requirement that the boss needs to be happy, so maybe I finally have a reason to get out of bed instead of sleeping through entire weeks just to collect the money. :D Overall, though, this is a really good foundation for a game, and I’m sure I’ll put many more hours into it. I hope there’s still plenty left to discover and that more challenges are waiting for me later on. Things that would make the game more exciting for me: I’d love to see more risk and consequences behind business decisions. Employees shouldn’t feel like robots. For example, if I make someone work 7 days a week, they could eventually get sick, become exhausted, or demand some time off. Surely these people have families somewhere in this virtual world. :) Equipment could have maintenance costs, electricity consumption, reliability, etc. Maybe cheaper equipment is more likely to break down, while expensive, high-quality equipment costs more upfront but is less likely to let you down at a critical moment. Those are the classic business dilemmas: price vs. quality, how much you’re willing to invest, and how much risk you’re willing to accept. In their current form, I also don’t really see much purpose in the sleeping and eating and happiness mechanics. But I think they’re actually a great idea. If developed further, they could become one of the foundations of the whole game. After all, why does anyone start a business in the first place? Why do we keep pushing forward and building more? There’s a reason our society is so obsessed with growth. A great 1.0 release. I’m very curious to see where the game goes from here.

I thought I will be managing my business empire, but so far I am doing night shift deliveries sleeping on the benches and eating trash to be able to afford installing toilet in my small convenient store that gives me -50$ profit per day (before taxes). So far so good 11/10 deliveries done.
This game is honestly incredible. If you enjoy supermarket simulator or other business sims, this game puts all of those to shame! I think I just played for about 9 hours straight because it has that one more turn addictiveness and seeing your "number-go-up" daily profits rise is so much dopamine. Also the devs just said ♥♥♥♥ it let's also make it a good life-sim on top of it because why not; I've spent so much money at ikea just buying ♥♥♥♥ for my apartment. I think the game is still in early access? but it honestly feels complete so any updates they release in the future are going to be very exciting. And props for the Help tab, it's incredibly helpful when the businesses start to get a bit more confusing (like setting up warehouses) Not a complaint, just a suggestion in case the devs are watching - it would have been cool if there was more build-up to opening your first business, like doing more jobs or owning something tiny like a hotdog stand until you get enough money, instead of just taking out a loan and starting a store on day one. Also I really hope that one day there's a way for people to make and add their own custom furniture and clutter items to the workshop EDIT: THEY ADDED WORKSHOP SUPPORT A WEEK AFTER I MADE THIS REVIEW LMAO I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ LOVE THIS GAME
I bought this game on release day and there was no disclaimer about the AI generated content in the game. Today I found out they added one a bit after the game came out. Waiting until everyone has already bought your game before adding the disclaimer is a scummy move.
