For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

PLEASE PLAY THIS GAME. I bought this one sale (like I usually do with video games), and so for me it cost 6$. Do NOT look up any information or spoilers on this game. I will give you a rough idea on what to expect and why remaining spoiler free is very important. I have recently played a game called "TUNIC" where the entire game is one giant puzzle, with good game play on top of it. This game accomplishes the same thing with different methods. Beyond the Long Night is a roguelike where you're an "explorer" trying to escape being trapped beneath a mountain, and every time you die you respawn back at the start. There are mechanics in the game that are INCREDIBLY thoughtful and deserve lots of praise for how perfect they accomplish multiple goals, one of them being "the storm", a force that forces you to progress faster up the mountain, even if that means skipping some rooms you haven't seen. I "beat the game" after about 3-4 hours on the intended difficulty, "hard", but when I saw that the stories were only 40% complete, I realized I missed quite a bit. I thought id just play the game like once more, but after finding some game breaking secrets, I realized that escaping the mountain is the easiest goal you can achieve, as there are other goals that require puzzle solving, exploring, and planning to accomplish. I don't want to spoil too much, but treat this game like a puzzle game, not only will solving puzzles make the game significantly easier (as they unlock permanent upgrades occasionally), but they advance the story. Don't be afraid to die in the process, and PAY ATTENTION TO DIALOGUE, in the "journal" you can keep track of the most important information NPC's will tell you, but paying attention to what some of them say will give you an extra boost on where to look and what to do. The game is challenging mind you, and I only win 1/3 rounds on average even after playing for 10 hours. Just realize that this game wants you to solve the mystery of the mountain. 10/10 game. I would have bought it at 20$ if I knew what experience it would give me.

It's certainly not bad but it's incredibly mundane, slow, boring and at times quite tedious. I started on Hard mode but really realized I wasn't having fun around the 8h point so I went casual and just beat it. It's got a lot of interesting ideas and some small puzzle elements but overall it was a snore. It is incredibly poorly optimized, takes forever to load and generate a map, and even with a couple upgrades you get stutters and slowdowns on a good PC. If you must play this, wait for like 80% sale
2.5/5 – Almost made the cut Fun and charming roguelike with decent controls, unique powers, and adorable pixel art... but also plagued by RNG frustration, unbalanced combat, and a disappointing endgame. It's also not worth full price ($18) with only 3 levels and 1 boss. =====The Good===== Variety of Powers – A handful of unique superpowers and passive abilities. Good Controls – Movement, dodging, and shooting all feel smooth and responsive. Charming Visuals – Gorgeous pixel art with a cute, polished style. Collectible Cows – Yes, you can pet them. Yes, you’re rewarded for doing it. Instant win. Procedural Stages – Three distinct areas, each with their own traps and obstacles. Memorable NPCs – Adorable characters with their own quirks and personalities. Solid Writing – Not deep lore, but the dialogue is fun and well-written. =====The Bad===== No Permanent Progression – Every run starts from scratch. You discover items but can only use them again if RNG smiles on you. No selectable starting powers, weapons, or upgrades... everything is random. Stuck With Bad Upgrades – Some passives can ruin a build, and you can’t get rid of them that run. Icons are reused for multiple abilities, so you often won’t know what you’re picking up until it’s too late. Mismatched Music – The soundtrack is calm and meditative, which is lovely… until you’re in a frantic fight. More intense tracks could make the action pop. Combat Balance Issues – Some rooms feel fair, others dump chaos on you: multiple enemies shooting, chargers rushing, spike walls, bullet traps, lasers. Then the next room has… one lonely bee. Linear Paths – Each level plays out the same, aside from procedurally generated rooms, and progression from Point A to Point B feels very linear. Hidden levels, branching routes, or alternative paths would have added variety, but the game doesn’t offer them. Lacking Monster Variety – Most enemies are simply recolors of earlier ones, with only their damage element changed. This repetition becomes noticeable fast, and even in later zones, the creatures feel like slight variations of what you’ve already fought, offering only minor twists in their attack patterns. Only One Boss – And it’s a letdown. Roguelikes usually shine with varied boss encounters. This game just doesn’t deliver there. Three Levels - There are only three levels with enemies. You do reach a fourth and final level, but it's completely empty with no enemies. Almost like the developer decided to call it quits at this point, slapped in a mediocre final boss at the end, and called it a day. Final Verdict – I understand this is an indie project, and smaller teams often have limited time, resources, and funds. But if you’re going to release a three-level roguelike with no permanent upgrades, limited path variety, and only one underwhelming boss, an $18 price tag feels steep. In my opinion, this is more of a $7.99 game. It’s too short, offers minimal gameplay variety, and the RNG powers start feeling repetitive far too quickly.
Great vibe, very poor gameplay balancing. Hardly feels like a game at all, more like an exercise in patience.
If you're into these kinds of roguelites and have played dozens/just about all the more popular ones worth playing, do what I did and take a small chance. I'm glad I did because this one stuck with me because it's got all those familiar parts of a fun and worthy roguelite that you want and expect to be done decently or better, but it's also strangely (in a pleasant/interesting way) unique and leaves you with this odd feeling of nostalgia mixed with satisfaction and anxiety haha.
Fun game on Deck, cute atmosphere. Most of my playtime is offline. A bit challenging
