Transported into the endless liminal spaces of the Backrooms, armed with only a specialized vacuum and the wit of your friends, your job is to harvest the very substance the Backrooms are made of in the name of science. That is, while avoiding the life forms disturbed by your work, including the playful yet deadly entity known as Benny.

Alcazar scientists have identified several life forms unique to this domain of the Backrooms, that all seem to be related somehow to the prime entity known as Benny. Sometimes playful, often horrific, these beings each have unique characteristics that makes Alcazar’s mission particularly challenging to accomplish while keeping its employees alive.

Your primary tool is your trusty T-Vac: a glorified vacuum designed to safely harvest Tescil without requiring direct employee contact with the substance.

Conventional equipment has been found to malfunction or fully disintegrate upon extended exposure to the Backrooms. Thankfully, Alcazar Industries has developed a line of unique field equipment from synthesized Tescil, disguised as playful ‘toys’, which seem to avoid this destructive process.
