Scarce ammo, merciless enemies and a sense of the unknown combine in a 10+ hour, story-driven single player campaign, built for both veteran gamers and those seeking a challenging old school experience.
Seasoned diver Noah Quinn’s routine expedition plunges him into chaos, trapping him in the depths of the ocean, where an ancient evil lurks. As supplies dwindle and nightmarish creatures close in, Noah must confront horrifying mutations and unravel a sinister conspiracy that threatens humanity itself.
With his daughter’s life hanging in the balance, Noah is pushed to his limits in a desperate race against time. Can he uncover the truth and stop an ancient horror from surfacing, or will the abyss consume them all?

Created by two passionate brothers, Beneath fuses Lovecraftian horror with an action movie narrative set deep in the arctic ocean. You will race against time to find a cure for your daughter, fighting for survival as you travel between a series of research stations and discover the dark intentions of the Omnium Corporation.

Face a terrifying array of foes, from ruthless soldiers to grotesque Lovecraftian monstrosities. With limited ammunition you must manage your supplies, upgrade your arsenal and make smart use of environmental hazards to survive.

Nightmares have awoken in the depths. With your sanity slipping, you become vulnerable to the twisted visions and Eldritch abominations that attack your body and mind.

If you grew up loving old school shooters, this one will hit right in the spot. You play as a diver trapped in an underwater research station / stations that have seen better days, fighting things that probably shouldn't exist, with never quite enough firepower to feel comfortable. It's tense in a way that creeps up on you rather than jumping in your face, although sometimes that happens too. The sanity system adds a nice tough and fits with the Lovecraftian thing.
10/10 its relly good

The atmosphere is easly the best part. Dark corridors, weird noises and disturbing things all around to keep the tension up most of the time. The shooting feels solid and enemies are smart enough to flank you, although sometimes the combat can get a bit repetitive. The story starts simple but becomes increasingly strange, with random sanity effects and some nice creepy moments. There are also slower sections that drag a little, but nothing too serious. It's not perfect and it doesn't really reinvent anything, but it's a solid action horror game with a lot of atmosphere.
It's a great game!
A solid throwback to the PS3/360 era of horror shooters, F.E.A.R. and Doom 3 vibes with a Lovecraftian coat of paint. The underwater research station setting carries a lot of the tension, with dark corridors making exploration genuinely uneasy. Combat is functional, it's good rather than exceptional. Pacing sags in the middle stretch and enemy variety could use more work. Still, there's real indie grit behind this one, and if you grew up on that generation of shooters there's enough here for some good hours of fun.
A solid survival horror / shooter with tons of action, a good dose of tension and a few scary moments. Gunplay is nice, especially against the soldiers. There's some weapon variety, although you only get to use classic modern weapons. Would be nice to find some BFG-like prototype in those secret labs. Story is what you would expect in this kind of thing, but it left a few questions unanswered.
Never before have I ventured into such oppressive abyssal depths, where dread, wonder, and valour intertwine so masterfully that one emerges both shaken in spirit and thoroughly captivated.
A Lovecraftian survival FPS set deep in the ocean. Old school shooter vibes, scarce ammo, merciless enemies, and a story that actually tries to do something with the setting. It's not a walk in the park. You will run out of bullets at bad moments. You will die. The game wants you to feel the tension, and mostly it succeeds. It's not perfect. Some rough edges here and there, as you'd expect from a micro studio. But there's genuine passion in it, and you can feel it in the game.
Solid survival FPS with scarce ammo, thick atmosphere and grotesque creatures. The story pulls you along as you fight to save your daughter, and the old-school gunplay keeps it intense. A bit janky in spots and the AI is hit-or-miss, but it's atmospheric and satisfying overall. Worth diving into if you like challenging horror shooters.
