Absolute cinema, perfect blend of classic games and peak storytelling. played through the main game in one sitting, wait for the game to be OFF-sale!!! 10/10 getting last achievements now.
I laughed, I ugly cried (twice), I hated those damn bats with a fiery passion--if you don't mind some NES Zelda-style puzzling/combat, the story of a heretic child sentenced by an inquisition to die in a dungeon goes to some WILD places while wrapping up in less time than the average movie (also without spoiling anything, the way the music is used is well-worth the price of admission)

Beghost is a beautiful game with a nice, character-driven story. It's first and foremost a visual novel, but the zeldalike elements give just enough of a change of pace, interactivity, and sense of a journey to elevate the story. Don't go in expecting the zeldalike portions to be super innovative or action-packed. That's not what this game is about. It definitely recalls Undertale with its old school graphics and deep story. Anyway, it's absolutely worth a few bucks and a few hours of your time. The dev did an awesome job here.
Beghost is an amazing game, its short sweet and simple I would definitely recommend it to someone if they wanna play something new. The only Critics I have with the game is a certain hype of a character just for it to kind of be underwhelming
Great game! I didn't expect much going in, but it has an interesting plot and uses the gameplay to tell a compelling story. I definitely recommend to story lovers.
sweet little game, about 1 hour long for 1 playthrough
Très bon jeu sur (presque) tous les aspects (à pars les contrôles qui sont trop éloignés les uns des autres à mon avis): Musique 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Puzzles 10/10 Ecriture 10/10 Combat 8/10
Short and sweet game that I enjoyed a lot! A lot of the emotional mechanisms of this work comes from a similar place from works like Undertale (which I know this dev hasn't shied away from) with the lovely ways it intertwines gameplay and plot elements. Without getting too into the weeds, I think it's a charming game well worth the cheap pricetag. If you're looking at the game thinking it's something you might like, I'd say you probably already have a good idea on what you're looking for and Beghost will probably fit nicely into that vein of expectation. There's very little worth criticizing in my eye. The writing's good and expressive, and you'll have a nice evening ahead of you!
very good, a bit short but good
While it aesthetically resembles a top-down action-adventure, Beghost is much more focused on its narrative than old-fashioned dungeon-crawling. In a way, cramming a script this dense into so little gameplay almost feels like a missed opportunity, as I feel the experience might've been stronger if traditional dungeon sections were expanded, letting the story breathe a bit. Beghost has some pacing issues and a few unexpected and somewhat jarring difficulty spikes, but it's still a wonderfully bittersweet adventure.
