Beat Saber

I will say, mods should be added to the game. it is pretty annoying to go in ''BS manager'' just to launch the game. although, the game runs smoothly even though I don't have the best specs in my pc. Good game to destroy someone's arms and eyes. Just what I needed! You can't be bored in beat saber. (as long as you have mods ;D )

[h1] MY ARMS HURT, 10/10 [/h1] [h2]Overview[/h2] Beat Saber is definitely one of the best VR games there currently is. The simplistic design is unique, but also engaging- the sound and physical effects when a note block is sliced are amazing! This game also acts as my home gym, but is very fun! The controls of this game are also perfect, wrist movement is surprisingly more effective than full arm movement! So what if you don't like the vast selection of songs there is to choose from? This game's community relies on modding where you can get practically ANY LEVEL you want! With modding, you can also customise sabers, add avatars, and customise nearly everything without blocking achievement progression as the mods expand on the already existing game rather than changing the core constructs- something which I think should be seen more in other games. [h2]Progression[/h2] The progression in this game is very simple, each level is unlocked permanently (apart from DLC which you have to buy) and there is a campaign which puts these levels in at different difficulties, but with unique challenges that can't be accessed anywhere else- such as the "move arms x distance maximum" this one was the worst, but still fun! [h2]Online Multiplayer[/h2] I haven't played too much multiplayer on the base game as I prefer to bash my way though levels alone, but I think the multiplayer is good from what I have played- nothing too much to say. I have seen a multiplayer mod which I haven't checked out yet, but I assume that is for custom levels maybe (I'm not sure you will need to look it up yourself)? To me, Beat Saber has always been a solo game, but it does work online quite well which is great! There are also modifiers that you can enable on each level which can change your play style. I personally enjoy speeding up the levels to get more points, though my arms hurt a lot after this haha. [h2]Customisation[/h2] The base game allows you to change saber color as well as the usual levels and modifiers previously mentioned, but that is all you get from the base game unless you care about your avatar that can only be seen in online multiplayer levels. However, the customisation of this game comes from the amazing modding community, so I cannot complain at all. I originally played Beat Saber on my oculus, but rebought the game on steam to mod my game easily. So yes, the customisation is great as long as you have mods! [h2]Scoring[/h2] - Game design: 10/10 - Music (base): 8.5/10 - Music (modded): 10/10 - Sound effects: 8/10 - Controls: 9/10 - Graphics: 6.5/10 - [b]Overall: 10/10[/b] [h2]What I would like to see in the future [/h2] I wish more features could be added to the base game rather than DLC bundles, but the game is not in a state where more stuff needs to be added as I feel like there is already so much. It would be nice to see some new stuff every so often tho :)

This game is very immersive and fun to play and it's great for burning calories in a fun way. Really recommend this game for every new vr user.
