battleMETAL is a successor to the 90's mech games, a cross between the mech-piloting of Mechwarrior 2 and ferocity of Quake. Command a massive warmachine bristling with firepower as you blast through a war-torn world.

Could use some polish. Seems like some mechanics and controls don't even work. Had to restart the program half a dozen times just to try and finish the first mission. For $1 fine if you're a fan of this kind of thing and like jank.
Mechwarrior had a baby with Earthsiege and it's got fast gameplay with WASD/mouse controls. Sure, it's got some rough edges on it, but the love that's gone into this project really shows through!
It feels like a mech, sorry, METAL, mod for Quake, kind of obvious since it uses the Darkplaces Engine. And I mean this in the most positive way imaginable. The game is still quite rough around the edges: hit feedback is a bit lacking, occasionally resulting in frustrating deaths and having to restart the mission. The pacing of the game is also a bit off, since the first missions can be quite difficult, while the last ones are rather easy. But on the other hand, just like its big inspiration, Mechwarrior, it is very cool to tweak the mechs, try different weapon configurations, and just walk around in a big robot and shoot at other big robots.

If you like the classic style mech games, give this one a go! The developer is still supporting the game and still seems to be giving feedback on their discord. If you like support tiny game shops, this a good one to support.
It scratched a much needed itch! I've a deep fondness for the classic mechwarrior style games and this really is a solid fusion of that style with quake vibes and action. Mech selection, weapon selection, tactics you can take during the variety of missions all makes for a stellar singleplayer experience! aside from a few glitched optional objectives and a couple confusing directions, the campaign had me enthralled and eager to see what happens next! Absolute power trip the briefing for the mission "of ashen countenance" gave me was huge, and the twist ending had me looking at NG+ in a different light. I cant wait to play this with friends, the fact there's a coop is dope! The fact it was mainly one person making this is impressive!
An indie-developed tribute to the MechWarrior games of the 90s with a couple weird quirks about it here & there, but a very solid offering for what you pay for, all things considered. I can tell the developer cared a lot & put a lot of effort into making it & it shows. If he ever makes a sequel, or thinks about adding expansions to the core formula, I'll be there. I recommend.
this game is quite a rough gem,at first you may feel combat feedback are weak and kind unsatisfied, but once you get pass that ,it become quite engage, find you self stare arming page, carefully choose your weapons and make the loadout to suit your mech combat style, control your mech feel great ,each one have different feeling, some nimble and fragile, other move like your are pilot heavy armed forklift with ten minigun both top and sides, for a person work on free time to make this kind level of game ,i have to say i am admire dev dedicated and they vision of this game ,if you like starsiege (not starsiege tribe, the mech-sim one) and mechwariorr 2 or just want switch for different kind of shooter, i highy recommend this one。
Needs more work. Attacks don't feel like they hit, everything is a bit unpolished. Idk, just not really worth it.
