I appreciated how this game leads up to the beginning of Arkham Asylum. Combat/story is similar to other Arkham games, what's different enough for me to note here is that the majority of the bosses are very gimmicky, which I didn't feel the prior two Arkham games were guilty of. Another important thing I want to mention is that combat felt "easier" in this game, I didn't feel like I had to punch enemies 30 times like in Asylum or City, but the enemies are more varied and most stealth segments have almost all enemies exclusively armed with guns.

Wow.
Arkham Origins deserves so much more appreciation than it gets. More than anything else, I love the feeling this game gives me. Seeing a younger, angrier Batman who hasn't fully become the legend we know makes the entire experience feel fresh. The snowy Gotham, the Christmas setting, and the atmosphere all come together perfectly. The boss fights are some of the best in the franchise, and the story does a fantastic job of showing Batman's growth as a character. People often overlook this game because of its release, but I genuinely think it's an excellent entry in the series. Every time I replay it, it reminds me why I enjoy it so much.
Gesamtbewertung: 7/10
Batman: Arkham Origins (2013) is a criminally underrated prequel that brilliantly expands upon the gritty atmosphere and free-flow combat mechanics of its predecessors. Players navigate a snowy, bleak Christmas Eve in Gotham City through a tense, cinematic narrative that chronicles a young, aggressive Bruce Wayne facing off against eight of the world's deadliest assassins. While its frozen, locked-down open world can feel somewhat empty and derivative of Arkham City during traversal, the game's stellar pacing, upgraded detective crime-scene reconstructions, and arguably the absolute best, most mechanically engaging boss fights in the entire franchise make it a phenomenal addition to the series. Combined with incredible voice performances from Roger Craig Smith and Troy Baker that breathe fresh, raw energy into the early dynamic between Batman and the Joker, it remains a gripping, narrative-heavy experience that deserves far more appreciation than it initially received.
IM VENGENCE
its perfection
Great game. A little glitchier compared to other arkham games but shows a way more gruesome batman which can be be very entertaining. Boss fights are up to the mark. The bonus xp feature favour stealth over hand to hand combat. Buy when on sale and enjoy!
