Batman: Arkham City - Game of the Year Edition

the Batman: Arkham games are not only a marvel of gameplay, combat design, environment, story telling, ambiance and music; they are also truly a love letter to the Batman genre. these games (asylum and city) have genuinely solidified me (someone who doesnt care for superheroes that much) as a TRUE BATMAN FAN. i had only interacted with batman minimally, but this series makes you fall in love with the universe in the same way the developers do/did. please, if you like super hero games, open world story and exploration, or are a fan of batman at all PLEASE do yourself a massive favor and give these games a shot. this series makes me feel like a kid. geez man, they dont make games like they used to. go into these games as blind as possible. and as a completionist, these are the most fun ive had 100%-ing games in a while ((other than the DLC combat challenges iykyk))

es bueno el juego, pero se siente como puzle, si te gusta hygar chill y sin estar pensando en acertijos, este juego no es para ti, pero es bueno el juego

Muito bom o game, inacreditável que já tem 15 anos agora que joguei. Combate fluido, imagens bonitas, e uma vivência digna de Gotham. Não consegui dar conta de tantos desafios do charada, mas a gameplay foi absurdamente boa.

My first ever negative review and it's for a beloved Batman game. lol Arkham City just doesn't feel good to play. Traversal is a slog, combat manages to be simplistic but fiddly at the same time and there are too many damn gadgets. I also hate having to constantly be in "Detective Mode." One of the best things about this game is its atmosphere but you don't get to enjoy it because you spend half your time x-raying your surroundings to see what needs manipulating with one of your 10 million gadgets. And don't even get me started on the camera and controls. I swear I'm not being a contrarian. I liked Arkham Asylum a fair bit but this tried to make everything bigger and better and ended up being sadder and wetter.
