About
Barbecue is a co-op party game for 1 to 4 players.
Your mission is simple: host a barbecue in your backyard. Reality will be quite different.
Light the fire, grill the meat, serve your guests and earn money to upgrade your setup.
Everything starts peacefully. It only takes a few minutes for things to spiral out of control. The fire rages, smoke fills the yard, and someone is already sprinting toward the shop in a panic.
Wood, charcoal, gasoline — each fuel has its perks and its risks.
Too much wood? Wildfire.
Too much charcoal? Toxic smoke.
A splash of gasoline to speed things up? ...Hope your insurance is up to date.
Grill sausages, merguez and steaks to earn money.
Invest in better equipment or blow it all on completely useless items.
No judgment.
The shop is on the other side. The problem? The road. Traffic doesn't stop for you.
Run, dodge, pray.
A day/night cycle changes the rules.
At night, you're grilling in the dark, the road becomes a nightmare, and the guests aren't any more patient.
Buy some lamps. Or don't.
Drink beers — your controls won't thank you.
Hose down your friends mid-cook with the garden hose.
Friend down? Revive them by shoving a sausage in their mouth.
No unfair game over.
The goal? Keep the party going as long as possible.
The shop catalogue is packed with items to unlock, making every session different. And when everything burns down? It's not a failure. It's the best part of the night.
Barbecue — The only game where burning the house down is the highlight of the evening.

Very bugged right now. I feel as though the developer has relied too heavily on AI to help him create this monstrosity. The game looks fun from the trailer but it's almost unplayable in it's current state. I would stay away from the game until further updates come out fixing some of the core issues. If it improves in the future, I will come back and change my review. Edit: I have been asked to share some of the issues I have encountered: - Load-in bug where you spawn with no health and no hunger bar left, you can still run around but the game itself seems broke from that point onward. - There's no tutorial or handbook that tells you how the mechanics of the game work, so you're left to your own devices on guessing what works and what doesn't. - It would be nice if you had an idea of how to perfectly cook meat without having to take it off and on the grill, over and over again with the grilling fork until it's perfectly cooked. - There's the issue of getting stuck in the game in random places after you're hit by a car but there's no unstuck button or respawn option. - There's no explanation on how the guest-system works, again, you're just left guessing on this. I will be leaving my original review until my next play-in and then I'll come back to this to see if anything has been fixed or updated.

The game looked fun initially, it's boring and soulless, then i saw the steam page mentioning the use of generative AI and it all made sense. Don't buy
Сгорела сосиска, друг, и жопа, рекомендую.
pretty buns
I have no friends so i play alone, and its still a great game. The Demo doesn't do it justice. Game of the year
Really cool concept and pretty chill to play with friends. Multiplayer works (somebody said it doesn't, it does) However, if the dev is reading this, please consider the following - The dot in the middle (your crosshair) would benefit from being bigger. Or at least have a setting to change its size. Quite hard to see. - The meat packaging is too transparent; again, quite hard to select and manouver around - It would be beneficial to have custom graphics preset and change each video settings individually instead of being forced to select from low/medium etc - Pls add option to disable motion blur - An ingame-wiki would be useful. How do we obtain holy sausages to revive teammates for example? bugs i've noticed: - sometimes you pickup the meat from the grill, get paid. then drop it from the stick and get paid again, not sure exactly what's the trigger point for this - the dog can become stuck near the campfire if you are insistent with blocking his path (altough I don't mind it as its a cute dog). But all of these are quite minor things that would make the experience more polished. Overall, solid base and has a lot of potential for a fun time with friends. It would be great to also add a quick/manual save setting so we can stop playing whenever we want.
You have to be a evil person to request andouille sausage in a inflatable swimming pool.
Had a great time with my friends! There is a learning curve, very little hand-holding with this one. Hardest thing to figure out was bring a friend back to life, but good times all around.
For the price definitely worth playing with. We played a group of us for a couple hours and really enjoyed it. There just a lot of failing as you learn some of the games mechanics. Some odd things, like hunger so you drop food and it gives you money, but you need to eat it. You can steal the neighbors logs, just don't chunk them blindly and burn the whole backyard 😂.
