I did a 5 hour research process of Colombia's 1985 "Palace of Justice Siege" with background checks and all prior to playing this game since the steam page mentions it makes you experience "alternative history" but I fail to understand what's alternative about it, since the game starts and ends the same way and has a single ending. The "alternative history part" just has to do with evacuating civilians or not but ultimately it doesn't change history and I'm not sure if this is the point of the game; that no matter what was done differently, corruption would still be there or if I'm just missing something. The gameplay is a common FPS level design with interrogation elements but most of the interrogation to npcs achieve little to nothing besides getting the name and role of the NPC in a game where all names, including important ones, are (understandably) fictionalized. The game runs poor (10-20fps) on a pc that can run Cyberpunk 2077 with ray-tracing and while the unconventional ammo system was intriguing at first, there are not enough enemies to use more than one magazine. I believe shining a spotlight on South American conflicts is always important but not only do I feel like it didn't do a great job at it, it took me 5 hours of prior research and got no less confused. Hell, I don't even think it's a game for those that are deeply interested or knowledgeable on the 1985 Palace of Justice siege either, as it just goes through some of the events there. I can't recommend this game, not to people aware of the politics of Colombia nor to people wanting to know about them.
