If you like a great atmospheric horror this game does great. The sound engineering is on point. I do wish there was some ability settings. Field of View and the ability to lower the light flicker rate, as it does have the ability to trigger some sickness.

"Backrooms: Partygoers" is a survival horror game that immerses players in the unsettling and infinite maze of the Backrooms, a concept originating from internet lore. Pros: - Authentic Atmosphere: The game effectively captures the eerie and disorienting essence of the Backrooms, with its endless, monotonous hallways and unsettling ambiance. - Immersive Sound Design: Ambient noises and subtle audio cues enhance the feeling of isolation and dread, keeping players on edge throughout their exploration. - The Partygoer: The Partygoers exhibit unpredictable and intelligent behaviors, requiring players to remain more vigilant then most similar games AIs Cons: - Diminished Tension Over Time: As players collect more anomalies, the initial intensity wanes with no increase or change in gameplay, leading to a less suspenseful experience in later stages. - Repetitive Gameplay Loop: The core mechanics revolve around item collection while evading threats, offering little innovation within the survival horror genre. - Limited Environmental Variety: The game's setting lacks diversity, which may cause the environment to feel monotonous after extended play sessions. In conclusion, "Backrooms: Partygoers" delivers a faithful representation of the Backrooms' unsettling atmosphere, providing an immersive horror experience. However, the game's repetitive mechanics and diminishing tension over time may affect its long-term appeal. Score: 6 out of 10 flickering fluorescent lights—An eerie journey that captures the essence of the Backrooms but could benefit from more variety and sustained intensity.
