About
Backrooms: Forget Me Not is a co-op horror game built around exploring different levels of the Backrooms, completing objectives and finding a way back out.
You can play alone or with friends. Levels use procedural generation, so layouts, item locations and some encounters will change between runs.
Each level has its own objective and its own set of problems to deal with. Some are fairly simple to understand. Others might take a few runs before you know what you are actually supposed to be looking for.
A lot of information is communicated through audio.
Running, footsteps, equipment and other players can all produce noise. The environment can affect this too, making normally safe actions much easier to hear in certain areas.
Procedural layouts, events, item placement and enemy behavior mean you won't get exactly the same run every time.
You will still learn the levels and get better at dealing with them, but knowing the rules doesn't necessarily mean knowing what is going to happen next.
