Backpack Raiders

Played a lot leading up to the release and have really enjoyed the game. Pumped to see what has been added with the full release and to continue enjoying it. Love the characters, the weird bug enemies, and the plethora of options for making builds.

What a game! Very addictive, can't stop playing it!

First time I've ever written a Game Review. If that's not any indication of how well this game is, I don't know what is. Absolute blast of a time playing it. Live leaderboard. Highly addictive tetris inventory management and strategy gameplay. Once you think you've mastered it, you find out the gameplay can get significantly harder with match modifications allowing more rewards if you're capable of handling it.

First off - I love the artstyle in this game. The mixture of 2d/3d honestly knocks my socks off. Never seen anything like it. The combat is crispy fast and smooth. Love watching the guns pop off bullets and crush those weird bugs into oblivion. The challenge is my favorite part - the first few times I played - I totally ate **** because I am bad at these types of games, but once I figured out my gun build and got over the learning curve - I was like the little engine that could laughing all the way to the bank. Sound track is groovy and this is honestly a great game. Would love to see Steam deck support down the line ;)

Really enjoyed this game. The inventory system is great, not to over complicated, like some other games. Good price for what you get. Highly recommended.

Excellent gameplay loop with plenty of fun and a fairly straightforward game design! The world is charming, and even though I haven't explored all of it yet, it's a very fun game to play through: there is a lot of diversity to be found, from the weapons to the builds and items, and it also has a really endearing appeal to it. It's also very nostalgic in a quite specific way, which slowly crawls back to you as you play more nad more and hit "Next Round" once again; the game has that tiny and sweet yet still manages to feel fresh and more than that...fun. Backpack Raiders' central point is that it's fun to play and let it unravel its game design and logistics behind it - slowly understood by the player. with a nice sense of progression and cute characters, it's worth checking out, I think.
