Objective: Descend through the different floors of the asylum using a service elevator.
Restore the power: Each floor is completely dark, and your first task is to find a way to turn the lights on.
Face the zombies: Every floor is infested with undead who will try to stop you. You must eliminate them all to progress.
Weapons and ammo: You will find new weapons and ammunition on each floor to help you survive.
Limited resources: Manage your resources wisely, as ammunition might be scarce.
Zombie waves: Face endless waves of zombies in a fight for survival.
Points system: Every zombie you kill will give you points, which you can use to unlock new areas of the asylum.
Weapon unlocks: You can also use points to unlock more powerful weapons to withstand the waves.
Zombie rewards: Some zombies will drop items upon death, such as:
Health to recover.
Extra ammunition.
"X2" to double the points earned for a limited time.
Increasing difficulty: Each wave will be harder than the last, testing your skill and endurance.

This is a slapper! Really nice to just have a short survival horror where you shoot zombies with powerful, satisfying to use weapons in linear levels. It sounds generic, but it's really uncommon. Most zombie shooters just want to be the next COD zombies. It gets intense when you get closer to the end, I really liked that. Just a few flaws all of them minor (keep in mind that I only played Story Mode): 1) Shotgun ammo is too rare. Shotgun ammo spawns in one shell at a time, so you never have much. 2) The Hunting Rifle badly needs to be buffed. It has terrible accuracy and body damage. 3) Zombies need to have more audio cues. Especially crawlers, who can hit you without you even hearing them beforehand. Crawlers in general need to be fixed, they can spawn right on top of the player. 4) Syringes, in my opinion, should spawn inside of drawers or drop from crates to synchronize features and remove potential for errors, because they glitched out and were invisible for me. 5) When you get hit, the blood effect is too excessive and blocks the camera. I think toning it down a little would improve the playing experience. 6) The crate drop mechanic needs to be overhauled. Sometimes it would drop arrows, and I think that there might have been a bow that was removed. It also drops what is likely old names of each ammo type (for example, M1911 ammo is called .45 ACP). In my opinion, it should also occasionally drop syringes. 7) The AKM is OP. It completely shreds the strongest enemy type and easily deals with every other enemy. Ammo for it drops like candy on the later stages, too, so there is no reason not to just stick to using it. Some recommendations: 1) I think that better response mechanics, such as some gore, bigger blood effects, explosive barrels, or semi-destructible environments would improve the playing experience; however this is of course up to the dev. Adding in any of these features may be more time-consuming than it's worth. 2) I think that the game could really use more music. The main ambient loop gets overplayed in the story mode, and just a few other tracks would dramatically improve the playing experience. This is, of course, far easier to suggest than it is to implement. The game was very fun. That shotgun and the revolver were very enjoyable to use. Like I said before, it gets more intense as you get closer to the end because, as far as I'm aware, you have to restart the entire story mode if you die or quit the game. It isn't hard, but you have to remain vigilant and careful. It was very fun, I 100% recommend it. Edit: I want to point out that my review is now many months old and the dev has since released updates to the game and I have not had the time to revisit it. Some of my critiques may be incorrect now for this reason.

pretty middle of the road for gameplay, the starting handgun is better than most of the other weapons except a few regardless of wave in horde mode. I'll give it a 6/10. Fun enough to waste 20 minutes to a half hour, buy it on sale
Asylum Nightmares, developed and published by NecoPlanet, is a compact survival horror shooter that leans heavily on familiar genre conventions while aiming to deliver a tense, straightforward experience. Set entirely within a dark, abandoned asylum overrun by hostile creatures, the game strips away complexity and focuses on a core loop of navigating confined spaces, managing limited resources, and fending off relentless threats. It’s a design that prioritizes immediacy and accessibility over innovation, offering a no-frills take on horror-action gameplay. The structure is divided primarily between a progression-based mode and a more arcade-style survival mode, each built around the same foundational mechanics. In the main mode, players move through multiple floors of the asylum, restoring power and clearing areas as they descend deeper into the building. This creates a steady rhythm of exploration followed by confrontation, where each new section introduces more enemies and slightly higher stakes. The act of bringing areas back online gives a small but satisfying sense of control in an otherwise oppressive environment. The alternative mode shifts the focus entirely to endurance, placing players in a loop of increasingly difficult encounters where survival time and efficiency become the main goals. Combat is intentionally simple, relying on straightforward shooting mechanics that emphasize awareness and positioning rather than complexity. Weapons are found or unlocked as players progress, offering incremental improvements in firepower, but the system remains grounded in basic functionality. There are no elaborate skill trees or deep customization options—success comes down to how well players manage their resources and respond to enemy behavior. While this keeps the gameplay easy to grasp, it also means that encounters can start to feel repetitive, especially as enemy patterns become predictable over time. The game’s atmosphere is one of its more effective elements. The asylum setting lends itself naturally to horror, with narrow corridors, dim lighting, and an overall sense of isolation. Beginning each floor in darkness adds an extra layer of tension, forcing players to move cautiously and rely on limited visibility until the area is secured. Audio design supports this well, using ambient sounds and sudden cues to create moments of unease. However, the game leans more toward action-driven tension than psychological horror, with the constant presence of enemies shifting the focus toward survival rather than slow-building dread. Visually, Asylum Nightmares adopts a straightforward 3D presentation that serves its purpose without standing out. Environments are functional but lack variety, often blending together as players move through similar-looking hallways and rooms. Character models and animations are basic, reflecting the game’s modest scope. While the visuals are sufficient to convey the setting and maintain clarity during gameplay, they do little to enhance the experience beyond what is necessary. One of the game’s strengths is its accessibility. It is easy to pick up, with mechanics that are immediately understandable and a structure that does not require a significant time investment to grasp. This makes it suitable for players looking for a quick, contained horror experience. However, this same simplicity also limits its depth. Without more varied systems, narrative elements, or evolving mechanics, the game struggles to maintain long-term engagement. Replay value exists primarily in the form of improving performance rather than discovering new content. The survival mode encourages players to push their limits and achieve higher scores, but outside of that, there is little incentive to revisit the experience once the main progression has been completed. The lack of significant variation in enemies or environments further contributes to this limitation. In the end, Asylum Nightmares delivers a focused and consistent survival horror experience that succeeds in creating moments of tension through its setting and pacing. It does not aim to expand the boundaries of the genre, instead offering a straightforward interpretation of familiar ideas. For players seeking a simple, action-oriented horror game with minimal complexity, it provides a serviceable and occasionally engaging experience. Those looking for deeper mechanics or a more memorable narrative may find it lacking. Rating: 7/10
This game feels cheap and gameplay isnt very fun. Just play CoD Zombies
