Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.

About

Astro Burn is our love letter to the early ’90s cute-em-up classics like Parodius and Pop’n TwinBee. Those games were bold, wildly creative, and completely, delightfully bonkers!

A cute-em-up is a bullet hell where adorable meets absolute chaos.
Bright visuals, charming characters, and absurd enemies wrap around fast, precise gameplay where survival, positioning, and mastery still matter. It may look playful, but it has got teeth.
Your base firepower? Barely enough to survive. Your real strength comes from catnip.
Stack time-limited power-ups to transform from a fragile space cat into a screen-clearing force of destruction. The longer you survive, the stronger you become. Become the instrument of cute destruction.
Fuelled by catnip. Built through momentum. Unleashed like a perfect Anime finishing move, when everything lines up. It’s not just a button. It’s an instrument of feline fury and ultimate destruction.

Astro is on her way home. Starting in Earth’s orbit, the journey quickly turns into a fight for survival.
What should be a simple descent becomes a relentless bullet hell gauntlet, filled with enemies that shouldn’t exist and environments that feel twisted, unstable, and hostile. From orbit down through Earth’s layers, each biome brings new dangers, new patterns, and new chaos to survive.
Between the action, pieces of the story begin to surface.
What’s happening to the world? Why does everything feel… wrong.
And the deeper Astro goes, the clearer it becomes that this isn’t just about reaching her self-cleaning litter box on Earth.
Something is happening to her, too.
With her robotic companion at her side, Astro pushes forward, one chaotic encounter at a time, searching for answers equipped only with his determination and catnip. So much catnip.
Armed with outrageous weapon combos, a rocket-fuelled jetpack, and purrfectly tuned reflexes, you’ll dive headfirst into relentless bullet hell chaos.
Dodge, weave, and survive as the screen fills with projectiles, environmental hazards, and enemies that do not care about your plans. Thread your way through laser grids, collapsing structures, fire traps, and floating islands, while blasting everything in your path.
Destroy enemies, collect temporary power-ups, and stack your firepower into something truly absurd. The longer you survive, the stronger you become — miss those upgrades, and the game will catch up with you fast.
Every level is a high-speed gauntlet. Stay alive, reach the boss, and bring it down.
And yes… the universe is completely unhinged. I mean, just look at that duck and hear it quack!
Expect screen-filling mecha pandas, hyperactive huskies tearing open solar vortexes, opera-singing space squids, and celestial goldfish launching star-shaped projectiles. Everything delivered with the chaotic, anything-goes spirit of 90s arcade classics.

A modern cute-em-up built on shmup DNA Inspired by 16-bit classics, reborn with slick pixel art, tight controls, and fast, responsive gameplay that rewards precision and mastery.
Relentless bullet hell gameplay loop Dodge dense patterns, navigate environmental hazards, destroy enemies, collect power ups, and survive long enough to take down each boss. Embrace the zoomies to stay alive.
Stack absurd weapon power , Collect temporary power ups and combine them into screen clearing chaos. The longer you survive, the stronger you become. Drop the momentum and the game will catch up with you fast.

I want to love this, but it's a ways off from being good right now. It has a look down pretty nicely, let's say it's like Parodius on mescaline, but the gameplay is rough. Collisions are the main problem. Half the time it is an absolute mystery what you're colliding with and why you're getting damaged, especially in later levels where the philosophy seemed to be to put as much stuff on the screen as possible. There's weird and quirky and then there's "don't you think you might be overdoing it?" There needs to be a fun and refined game here, not just an endless stream of wacky enemies. Hit boxes are also sloppy. I didn't lose a single life (also a problem) until the level 6 end boss, and then I kept getting hit by... something. His tentacles? But I wasn't touching them. Bubbles from the bottom of the screen? I have no idea. I was avoiding the bubbles he was blowing at me so it wasn't that. I also have a minor headache right now because the sound design seems to follow the same philosophy of the art in that more is better and most is best. Every one of the weapons has a sound, which is fine, but each one increases the total volume until your brain rattles and you can be (and often are) using all of them at once. Yet things like pickups don't have sounds, shots hitting enemies don't have sounds, and so on. That said, this could become a good game, but a bit of a strategy shift is in order. I don't like writing negative reviews of anything really, especially lower priced indie games but right now this game feels like it's halfway between an actual shoot 'em up and halfway to being one of those $1.99 meme games that just throw random weird and wacky stuff on the screen while gameplay is a minor concern. Tone it down and tighten it up. It needs to play better and harder, less chaos on the screen, and make most of the enemies and their bullets come from the right side of the screen, not the bottom. You can't really move like in a normal shmup because so much is coming from underneath. There's a lot of cool stuff to work with here, hopefully the gameplay can be refined. ---- Response to developer: This is great to hear! It's certainly a genuine effort you put forward here and not some scam game, it just needs refinement. I'll be looking forward to it, this game could be really cool if it played better.

First! Cute cats, lots of lasers and weird enemies. Really good music! I got and old school Tyrian feel from this, can't wait for more features while EA advances. Ok, back to the game, just came here to be first!
This is a really fun and cute game with lots of banter and cute cat puns... I really like the game modes but they tend to get very hard for me :) Soundtrack is also soooo good! Being in EA is still already really fun to play, can't wait to see what the devs come up with as it has so much potential!
First off, very interesting game thats for sure. it gives the nostalgia with the space ship games ages ago. The music has a really nice vibe and you do can get hooked at it real quickly. in terms of difficulty i would say the Water stage as well as the Vertical one gave one a headache to get through. Cant wait to see more development to this game and curious about the story.
If you're into old school 90s era shooters, this one might be right up your alley! It's like old school vibes with a modern twist, and the cool thing is it plays great with my Neo Geo arcade stick I have set up on my arcade! Easy enough for anyone to jump into and have fun. I've been mainly playing it on my arcade, but it runs great on the OG Rog Aly as well I've found.
After a long day at work, is there anything better than picking something up quickly and going crazy with a cat, insane firepower in a bullet hell game? Very excited to take this with me on my Steam Deck when I travel next month. Awesome game, awesome design, and just really enjoying it!!!
GREAT FUN. the game's come so far in the amount of time i've been following it and playing it! the latest drop is super fun and challenging. the graphics are really cute and there's whimsical fun thing about all the things you can shoot lol. 10/10 would recommend!
I had so much fun playing the early access story mode version which has smoother more fluid and complete gameplay, really excited to play the other game modes!
Very nostalgic and great inner story telling world. I immediately clicked with the aesthetic and liked getting lost in Astro's world. What a silly kitty x
This game is what it feels like to be a cat on catnip. Very fun and satisfying gameplay. Reminded me of arcade except this time I play as much I want without inserting a coin in 10 seconds. Music is fantastic. The cat is so damn cute.
