Great feel. Daily racing & race multiplayer servers have added something. Shame their is no progression system but it might be coming with the driver safety rating element.
Jesus Christ. What in the Claude Code has KUNOS been sipping on? This update has single-handedly transformed the game from a messy, stutter-fest in VR to the best-looking game in the world of sim racing. For the first time, I’m getting to experience the fidelity the game was intended to deliver, both in terms of driving feel and graphics. It’s a masterstroke.
I know Assetto Corsa EVO is still a work in progress, and to be fair, the core driving experience is solid. The cars feel incredibly good to drive, and the physics model is highly accurate and responsive. However, the major updates from the developers are incredibly disappointing. The announcement that they are pulling the planned career mode and strictly blocking unofficial modding completely ruins the potential of this game. Modding is what kept the original Assetto Corsa alive for a decade. By eliminating both a structured solo progression and the community-driven custom content, the developers are walking back on major promises that made people buy into early access in the first place. Great physics cannot save a game that lacks a proper single-player framework and cuts off its own community. Not recommended.
1,5 years after release still no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ open world
Underwhelming is an extreme understatement. The community gave them so much time and money to develop the game and they gave us very little back. The “early access” excuse has expired so long ago, I urge others not to give them your money until they actually develop the game properly.
still no free roam
When will the refunds be rolling out? as this is no longer the game that we backed.
No sign of the open world that was expected to release essentially a year ago. Not a single mention of it anymore, and the devs have actually -scrapped- the career mode altogether.
I do not recommend this game. Unfortunately i am not eligible anymore for money return, but every update pushes this game in direction of being GTx class simulator, instead of holistic car game. In the end, everything that is not gt3 or gt4 going to be modded in, but wont have any official racing or support. And game is going to become ACC 2 with bad optimization and not working safety rating. 1. I didn`t want to buy ACC 2. Game was advertised with bunch of road cars that are going to be used in competitive racing. Currently in daily racing out of 6 events, only 2 barely can be considered road cars, even GR academy is gone. And in other two (mx5 cup and german touring) people are driving with automatic gearboxes or paddleshifting without clutch in the same races as people with full H-shifter/clutch setup. 2. Daily racing allows people use all the assists in competitive racing, which makes competition one sided, because using automatic gearbox or sequential, on the cars where h shifter with clutch supposed to be used gives you -10/15 seconds from lap on nurburgring for example. Same goes for stability assist. Some people playing NFS, some trying to get sim experience, guess who is winning. PS - add to it, cancellation of career, not working academy, consistend underdelivery.
they promised a GT style career mode then changed it if i was allowed a refund i would
