My first experience with this was very so-so. Playing on a Rift-S in 2023 so I would have assumed problems reported would have been addressed at least some. I was in it for the cinematics and not so much the "game" aspect of it and since Rift S controllers weren't really supported well I didnt really bother with that portion. The Good: - Lots of detail that an average space and/or VR enthusiast would enjoy seeing. - Accurate sounds and quotes from NASA's Archives and other media you'd expect to see that can bring tears to someone that experienced it from their living room when the events happened - maybe even some that didnt. The Bad: - Cinematics are 180 degree mirrored for me and was super disorienting at first until I realized what was going on. - Bad centering was a consistent problem, the first cinematic in the living room I was sitting and the camera was under the chair. I had been sitting since I turned the game on so I had to stand for the experience, not that big of a deal for me but for disabled and vertically challenged folks it's going to be a big problem. For some reason the "Options" Menu was grayed out and wouldnt let me access it. - The sense of scale was a bit off, with no reference perspective in the larger shots the Earth and the equipment look smaller than they should at different distances. Solution might have been to implement hand-tracking to help give a frame of reference. Overall: Decent enough to get a 3D video on the Apollo 11 mission but expect some nuances that deviate from the real deal. Buy it on a Steam Sale and make your Gen-Z or Boomer parent play it so they break down into tears over reliving the memories of the event long buried and then give them a hug once they're done.

As soon as this game starts i get motion sickness, does not happen in any other game but this one its terrible. I was alright when I had the oculus dk1, but now I have the rift and its unplayable. No idea why its so bad with this headset since it's meant to be better. Like I said I play many other VR games and its fine, just this one its not so good.

fantastic must be experienced

beat in 69 minutes and got to witness history. mostly just sit and watch but an incredible interactive movie. Good luck landing the lunar lander lmfao. Returned it for my money back after beating the main event. 10/10

Actually... this is still quite an experience in 2025 with a set of Meta Quest 3S. I think it's worth the price just to get this experience for anybody who has any interest in the old Apollo-programme at all. Sure, it's not a full blown simulation with all instruments working, but the immersion is real and close enough to simulate how it felt for the astronauts. Call it an 3D documentary, with benefits, and it's still worth it... thumps up from me!
