Anime Wave Simulator

Having played a bunch of these games this is one of the worse ones. They have some cool details like the unicorn enemies and clothes coming off with damage but it is overshadowed by bugs. For starters the default mapping for movement is bad, not my reason for giving the negative review but if you plan on buying it anyway the first thing you should do is check your binds and adjust for wasd. I think the system they used was qzsd by default and I couldn't guess it at first. The big game breaking issue though is AI pathing and rounds being unable to continue if you walk into certain areas on the basic map. I don't know specifically where the bug happens but if you walk up the side stairs near where you spawn and head towards the cargo crates, even if you kill all enemies it won't allow you to go to the next round. Of course there might be some enemy alive somewhere outside the map but you will never know as the enemy counter is broken. Leaving the area doesn't fix it either so you have to restart. I basically played all difficulties in the center main area of the map to avoid running into this and I still did but the enemy was in clear sight to end the game. Aside from that, their ammo/upgrade system just isnt' fun. It doesn't help that you cant buy another gun as once you buy 2 guns if you buy a third you will hold it but then if you swap weapons it will be gone forever. Meaning once you run out of ammo the game is effectively over so you really have to conserve ammo drops or hope the enemy drops them. Also apparently their find 10 unicorn statues achievement intentionally only lets you find 9. That is just scummy especially since the map to find them is gigantic and has open spots to go outside the map which may indicate it is hidden somewhere out there. That one alone would normally make me give a negative review.
