Anima: Gate of Memories – The Nameless Chronicles, developed by Anima Project and published by Anima Publishing, is an action RPG that seeks to carve out its own identity within a crowded genre by blending deep narrative elements with dynamic combat and exploration. Rooted in the rich lore of the Anima universe, which originated as a tabletop role-playing game, this title aims to deliver a dark fantasy experience that appeals to fans of intricate stories and challenging gameplay alike. The game combines a sprawling narrative with a complex combat system, inviting players to dive into a mysterious world where every choice can influence the course of the story. At the heart of Anima: Gate of Memories is its story, which centers on The Nameless, a character who awakens in an otherworldly realm called The Beyond, a liminal space between life and death. The narrative unfolds gradually, revealing secrets about The Nameless’ past, the nature of the world, and the forces vying for control. The game is rich with lore, delivered through dialogue, exploration, and in-game codices, demanding that players pay close attention to immerse themselves fully. The writing blends philosophical themes, mythological references, and classic fantasy tropes, creating a layered and sometimes enigmatic tale that rewards patient players willing to piece together its complexities. Visually, Anima: Gate of Memories strikes a balance between atmospheric environments and detailed character models. The world design leans toward dark, gothic aesthetics with sprawling, often claustrophobic settings filled with ruined architecture, shadowy forests, and eerie dungeons. The art style supports the game’s grim tone and enhances the sense of mystery and tension. While some textures and animations show the limits of the studio’s resources, the overall presentation is cohesive and effective, with carefully crafted lighting and particle effects adding to the immersive mood. Boss designs and enemy variety are well thought-out, offering visually distinct challenges that complement the gameplay. Gameplay in Anima: Gate of Memories is where the title truly aims to set itself apart. Combat is fast-paced and strategic, demanding a good balance of offensive combos, dodging, and parrying. The Nameless wields a diverse arsenal of weapons and abilities, each with unique movesets and upgrade paths. This variety encourages experimentation, as players can customize their fighting style to match their preferences. The game also features a stamina system that adds tension to battles, requiring players to carefully manage their actions to avoid leaving themselves vulnerable. Enemy AI is intelligent enough to keep encounters engaging, with foes that punish reckless behavior and demand timing and precision. Beyond combat, exploration plays a significant role. The world of Anima is interconnected, encouraging players to revisit areas with new abilities to uncover hidden secrets and alternate paths. Puzzle-solving elements are integrated naturally into the environment, often requiring players to observe patterns or manipulate mechanisms to progress. While the level design occasionally suffers from confusing layouts or backtracking, it mostly succeeds in fostering a sense of discovery. The inclusion of RPG elements such as character upgrades, skill trees, and equipment crafting adds depth to the gameplay loop and incentivizes thorough exploration. One of the more ambitious features is the game’s branching narrative and multiple endings. Choices made throughout the story, including dialogue options and key decisions, influence the world and its characters, leading to different outcomes. This adds replayability and encourages players to consider the consequences of their actions carefully. However, some players might find the storytelling dense and occasionally convoluted, as the game leans heavily on lore dumps and cryptic exposition. The pacing can be uneven, with moments of intense action punctuated by slower, more dialogue-heavy segments that may test the patience of those seeking constant momentum. Technically, the game performs reasonably well, though it is not without flaws. Occasional bugs, camera issues, and UI inconsistencies can detract from the experience. Load times are generally acceptable, but some animations and transitions feel stiff or outdated. The sound design contributes positively, with a haunting soundtrack that complements the somber atmosphere and solid voice acting that brings the characters to life. The control scheme is responsive, though mastering the combat mechanics requires some practice due to its complexity. In conclusion, Anima: Gate of Memories – The Nameless Chronicles is a game that aims high, delivering a dense narrative experience wrapped in challenging, skill-based combat. It is best suited for players who enjoy immersive worlds, lore-rich storytelling, and tactical gameplay that demands attention and adaptation. While it stumbles at times with pacing and technical polish, its strengths in world-building, atmosphere, and combat depth make it a worthwhile journey for fans of action RPGs seeking something a bit different. The game stands as a testament to the ambition of its developers, offering a unique blend of narrative and gameplay that invites exploration and reflection in equal measure. Rating: 8/10

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

PD: me costó 3.79€ o sea que not bad at all
Jogo Indie Pico 2.
Better than first game as far as gameplay goes. But still sort of middle of the road.
Great mythology and interesting characters
Neat little anime game, I loved the characters and the story. Combat feels a bit clunky at times.
Jogavel no Linux na configuração padrão do Proton
MUITO BOMMM
Decent story, unique visuals and snappy combat
