Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 23 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

BLUF: Ancient Kingdoms is an old school RPG based game currently still in development that offers a progression based challenge and never holds the player's hand. Some aspects of the game are unbalanced, but it is well worth the price. This review is written after 1,283 hours of gameplay. Ancient Kingdoms ignites a feeling in me that no other game has come close to in a very long time. The game is still under development and despite having over 50 total days played, I still have many things to do. If I could relive my first few hundred hours and experience the game all over again, I would without hesitation. That being said, the game is by no means perfect. The difference in difficulty between single-player and multiplayer is night and day. Single-player offers challenges that are going to make you exceedingly frustrated at times. The game offers mercenaries that act as party members in place of real players so that the player can progress in the game even when playing alone. Those mercenaries, however, cannot hold a candle to real players - in terms of skill accessibility, reaction speed, damage output, or general battle awareness. The mercenaries are designed to handle events or conditions a specific way, which isn't always ideal for the positioning of the team. Many improvements, however, have been made to the mercenary system and it is in one of the best states it's ever been in. There will be occasional mishaps where they do not react quickly and get deleted by a boss AoE attack, or get sniped by something while repositioning, but overall they perform the job well enough for a solo player to enjoy the game comfortably the majority of the time. If you need a break from dungeon crawling and dealing with mercenary behavior, the game also offers multiple professions that aid your character progression. Cooking, Alchemy, Fishing, etc. These all offer the player buffs via food, potions and similar items to aid in boss encounters. These items can also be equipped to mercenaries to help boost their performance as well. I could type all day on Ancient Kingdoms, but the overall idea is that the game is incomplete with an active developer who continues to develop the game towards a full release. Updates are usually once a week with fixes, improvements, or new content and features. Even in its current state, the game offers countless hours of gameplay and allows the player to progress at their own pace without fear of missing out on something. There are no in game purchases. Once you've purchased a copy of the game, you are free to experience it and all it has to offer. Ancient Kingdoms is far from perfect or complete, but is more than worth the money to experience everything in its journey.

I enjoyed it until the endgame, which is unnecessarily grindy. There is absolutely no reason to have such atrocious drop rates for quest items and gear to progress further in a mostly single player game. I've seen other people compare this to aspects of EverQuest. Congratulations you emulated the worst, most unfun aspects of that game. Quest to get a ancient lumber from a Treant...kill hundreds...no drop. Why?! Also, a lot of the challenge of the later dungeons is just a DPS check because mobs are purposely to close together and respawn to fast. There are no off tanks, there is no monk with feign death to prevent wipes on crazy pulls. Cant do it yet, grind out 50-100 more veteran points. Lame. Also, to max slayer you have to kill each rare or boss 50 times? For only 10% damage reduction? Does anyone want to sit there for that? Completely unreasonable. I'll update my review after release if some of these things have been addressed.
If you grew up with games in the 2000 you will like this game. Ive only played about 65 hours atm but I can see myself spending a 100 or so more hours with just how the game is right now, with more content it will only increase.
Fun game for MMO players who don't have the time to play online anymore.
There's still a ton left for me to experience, but so far I'm having a great time with it. It's a really solid game. The quests have been fun and rewarding, exploration has been enjoyable, and I love the nostalgic old-school MMORPG feel. I especially liked the dungeon designs and the variety of enemies. I'm looking forward to seeing what else the game has to offer, but based on my experience so far, it's an easy recommendation.
This game seems really cool for the first few quests. After that it gets repetitive and boring really fast. I played for a few hours and so far there's only a SINGLE quest line. There aren't side quests or anything as far as I can tell. It's just a single quest where you run back and forth to from the quest area to the same quest giver until the first area is mostly explored. After that, the quest giver hands you off to the next quest giver who starts the whole thing all over again. After I completed the initial area, I was level 15. The next quest giver was beyond a region filled with level 22 monsters which made me feel like I was missing something somewhere. I looked but found no other quests anywhere. Here's what I experienced for the first couple of hours. I got no cool loot drops. No armor, no weapons, no nothing. The only gear I got was from the single quest giver as a reward for doing errands. Nothing in the environment is interactable besides some plants and very few scattered chests that are mostly empty. None of the random crates, boxes, barrels, torches, etc can be interacted with. This makes the world feel dead with no reason to explore because there's nothing to find. I found no job/profession trainers (despite there being crafting stations and reagents from drops). I found no side quests despite there being NPCs everywhere. Enemies are generic and only auto-attack you. Some of them (like the cave worms) make the most annoying sounds when attacking. This is actually where I stopped playing. There's an endless horde of these things in a maze of a cave you have to slog through during the only quest line in the game so far. A pixel art faux-mmorpg sounded like an amazing idea, but this game just does not deliver on any level. Don't waste your time and money.

Perfect so far, I've been looking for something like this for awhile. Simple, 2D mmo that will run on any potato. Dev is responsive and pushing updates. Ignore the review complaining about time gates, that's not really an issue. Will update once I actually get somewhere. Edit 1: okay I love this. There are a few things that I'm not sure how they work but the world feels alive.
I don't mind the grind as long as I can feel the progression. But sadly this game isn't. For example you encounter this elite/boss, you see all these possible drops thinking to yourself "oh good I can have something good". But no the elite/boss can have a dozen of possible drops yet there still chances it drop nothing (the chance is pretty high too). I can't tell you how many times I have kill an elite or boss they drop nothing and have to wait for however long they respawn again and kill them again just to be disappointed again and again and again.
