Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Jul 20 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I had pleasure to play few hours in offline mode during my airplane flights lately :) I like the idea of tower defense in general so this game is fantastic! If you played some TD game before you will love it. It take some time to figure out what is important on every single level (finished 6 of them so far). It's interesting idea about resources and whole economics added to simple TD game. I'm sure will be playing it more in future. Good Job!
I have only played a few minutes, but it seems solid, far more of a TD game than many I pick up. There are four types of towers, the basic infantry, which you use to hold foes in place why either archers or mage towers attack them, and a forth tower called a support tower, with slow and a minor area attack. Each seems to upgrade three times (?), and then one split into two types I think. haven't gotten that far yet. There is also a town where you can work to build the resources needed to build tower, buildings like woodcutter and stone mason, as well as a few more. There are tactical options, in the form of spells, and a rich looking strategic upgrade tree. You can also strengthen your position by completing achievements. There does not seem to be any way to control the enemies path. First correction, there is a very robust targeting system, with several pre-sets where you can pick the first five preferences, which you can then assign to the towers individually. It comes into the tutorial after the second map. It seems fluff light as well, but that may change as I am still playing around with the tutorial. All in all, it looks pretty solid, going to give it two thumbs up for now, I will probably come back and add to this review as my playtime advances. Three hours in, the game is really quite fun, though things get very busy! There are statues that give you things on some levels, and I miss the items a lot. Sadly I think the game could have been really good with the edition of fluff, something that takes a minimum of effort, but adds so much to the gaming experience. ADDENDUM: 14 levels, just finished it on easy. There are three levels of difficulty. I am well short of purchasing all the in game upgrades, which is a good thing. Expecting to go back and play more on the harder levels. Critters are interesting and cool, wish the hit boxes on the games drops were a big more generous though, I can click three or four times on a dropped coin or bit of stone before I pick it up, unless it vanishes first.
Z pozoru zwykły tower defense, ale budowanie ekonomii w tle sprawia, że trzeba się skupić nie tylko na stawianiu wież, co dodaje mnóstwo emocji podczas rozgrywki. Do niektórych plansz musiałam podchodzić kilka razy i zmieniać strategię obrony, wprowadzać zmiany w drzewku umiejętności, aby w końcu z sukcesem udało się obronić osadę. Nieraz dzięki magicznym zaklęciom udało mi się przejść planszę dosłownie na ostatnim życiu.
fun!
The game is half-baked. Interesting ideas but poorly used. The game has a pretty bad balance. The beginning and end are easier, the middle is even on an easy level. You can't upgrade half the things in the game, they don't give you enough points, you need at least twice as many levels. Everything is very expensive and the levels are too small. Achievements give you bonuses but they are either too few or only for certain things. You can't see the upgrades well from the description pile, you can't exit the game without using the keyboard when everything is done with the mouse, sometimes there are bugs like when you pause it stops in one place and you have to turn off the pause to fix it, building construction is slow and stops the production of the building or tower and has to be done in pause, otherwise it gets pretty bad during the game. The game has potential but it seems unfinished and unlikely to be finished or repaired. I wouldn't recommend it in this condition.
Even if I'm not into tower defense/rts games I enjoyed playing Ancient Islands.
Completing all avaliable missions (14 at the moment of writing the review) at hard level took me approximately 8 hours. A lot of missions required adjusting the skill tree before start, because there is a need to use different tactics based on enemy types/available resources. At the beginning game seems to be a little bit difficult, but the more skill points you have, the less demanding it becomes. Last missions are not challenging at all when you collected all available skill points, so focusing on the initial levels is essential in order to succeed in the final part. The biggest disadvantage of the game is the number of missions, which is to low to show the full potential of Ancient Islands ;) I hope that we will see some more maps, where we can use all of the various mechanisms provided by the game.
Polecam. Bardzo przyjemna gierka. Trochę czyje niedosyt, mogło by być więcej plansz.
