A great visual and gaming experience, also considering that it was all made by just one person! It's definitely not perfect, but again, for a game made just by one developer / artist, it's definitely a must-play for horror game lovers. The best part was definitely the creature design and overall atmosphere. The puzzles were fun but quite easy. Lovely experience, I will definitely play again!!!

It looks great, but it needed more of a tutorial because I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do. And it didn't save often enough and I had to replay a lot of it, making it not fun. Here I am playing it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgXsB8C8KY4
This game wasn't terribly scary, and seemed to rely heavily on jump-scares. The enemies are not hard, and deal insignificant damage to the point where it's possible to just run by them and tank the damage--essentially making them nonexistent/a threat. I collected the three discs in the three levels, but couldn't find where to use them-- so I just finished the game. Overall there's not a huge amount of content, and I was able to beat the entire thing pretty quickly, but the visuals and the idea of the game was pretty good. It felt unimportant to read any of the notes, but the story was pretty alright too. The art was pretty.
Amygdala is an atmospheric horror experience that leans heavily into surreal imagery, oppressive mood, and abstract storytelling to immerse players in a nightmarish psychological landscape. Developed and published by Stigma Studios, the game positions itself less as a traditional horror “game” and more as an experiential descent into fear, using environment, sound, and creature design as its primary tools rather than complex mechanics or sustained action. From the outset, it makes clear that its ambition lies in evoking discomfort and unease rather than testing reflexes or problem-solving skills. The world of Amygdala is deliberately fragmented and dreamlike. Players move through a series of distorted locations that feel loosely grounded in reality but twisted by nightmare logic—spaces that resemble familiar interiors or symbolic settings, yet are warped into something hostile and uncanny. These environments are tied together by an abstract narrative framework involving powerful nightmare entities and a metaphysical judgment that frames the player’s journey. Storytelling is intentionally opaque, delivered through visual symbolism, brief textual elements, and the atmosphere itself rather than direct exposition, encouraging players to interpret meaning rather than consume a clear plot. Gameplay focuses almost entirely on exploration and observation. Played from a first-person perspective, Amygdala emphasizes slow movement, careful navigation, and environmental awareness. There is little in the way of traditional puzzles or combat; instead, tension is generated by what might appear around the next corner, the unsettling sounds echoing through empty corridors, or the sudden presence of grotesque entities that feel more like manifestations of fear than conventional enemies. Interaction is minimal by design, reinforcing a sense of helplessness and vulnerability that aligns with the game’s psychological themes. Creature design is one of the title’s most striking elements. The nightmare beings encountered throughout the experience are grotesque, surreal, and often disturbing in ways that linger beyond the moment of encounter. Rather than relying on frequent jump scares, the game uses these entities sparingly, allowing their visual impact to carry weight. Combined with oppressive lighting and dense shadow, the monsters contribute significantly to the game’s identity, making Amygdala feel like a curated gallery of fear rather than a sequence of gameplay challenges. Sound design plays a crucial role in sustaining tension. Ambient noise, distant echoes, and unsettling audio cues constantly remind players that the world is hostile, even when nothing overtly threatening is visible. Music is used sparingly, often giving way to silence or low, droning tones that heighten anticipation. This restraint allows the environment to breathe and makes moments of escalation more impactful when they occur. Visually, the game prioritizes mood over clarity or polish. Environments are richly textured and heavily stylized, often sacrificing realism to create a sense of unreality. Lighting is dramatic and intentionally disorienting, guiding attention while obscuring details in a way that feeds paranoia. While the presentation can be striking, it also exposes the game’s indie limitations at times, with occasional rough edges in animation, performance, or environmental interaction that may momentarily break immersion. The pacing of Amygdala is deliberate and compact. The experience is relatively short, designed to be consumed in a few focused sessions rather than stretched over long playtime. This brevity works in its favor by concentrating the horror and preventing fatigue, but it also means there is limited replay value once the environments and encounters are known. The game’s impact relies largely on first impressions and emotional response rather than mechanical mastery or branching outcomes. Reception to the game reflects this narrow focus. Players who appreciate psychological horror rooted in atmosphere, symbolism, and unsettling visuals often find Amygdala compelling and memorable. Those expecting deeper interactivity, more involved puzzles, or a clearer narrative arc may come away disappointed, as the game does little to expand beyond its core loop of exploration and observation. It is a title that demands the right mindset, rewarding patience and interpretation rather than engagement through systems. Overall, Amygdala succeeds as a moody, unsettling horror vignette that prioritizes emotional impact over traditional gameplay depth. Its strengths lie in creature design, environmental atmosphere, and a commitment to abstract psychological horror, while its weaknesses stem from limited interactivity and mechanical simplicity. For players drawn to experiential horror and surreal nightmare imagery, it offers a concentrated and disturbing journey into fear; for others, it may feel more like an interactive art piece than a fully realized horror game. Rating: 7/10
Good Game~But short~~
I really liked this game but this game need some big polishing because is buggy have texture orribly placed. But i really like the atmosphere the desgin the idea.If the game would be remade with more time and polishing could be somenthing really good
No i samo zakończenie jest jakieś takie niedokończone.
