One day, a noble woman turns our protagonist's (the doctor) life upside down by visiting his clinic, in a town where the amok madness is rampant. The doctor leaves all his personal effects and career aside and begins to follow this woman's footsteps while fighting against the deadly amok syndrome.

Amok Runner, Is by far, a game. A game in which you play as the protagonist- there is a story and you experience it, as you experience it. The game progresses, and once you progress enough the game will finish.
Unironically had fun playing this. It's basically trying to be an Alan Wake style game but fails miserably. It's fun but by no means a good game. Get it on sale while you still can if you plan to partake in Cr1tikal's challenge, I wouldn't personally recommend it for any reasons other than the challenge.

"Every day feels exactly the same. I'm having the worst nightmares til morning. Another sleepless day begins..." - People trying to speed run this game
It was hard to give this a thumbs down because it has potential and some elements are better than others. The town is mapped out nicely and there's a good level of detail with the graphics being nice enough on the eye. The mechanics of driving and cycling are decent too, even if it does feels a bit floaty. The problem I had with this game is the combat. I kind of wish is wasn't implemented because it doesn't feel good at all. Trying to dodge five men swinging weapons at you simultaneously and not being able to maintain a distance from them to shoot properly isn't fun. It's a shame but this kind of action put me off continuing and I decided to refund. If they improve this side of it in the future, I'd possibly repurchase.
Amok Runner is a game that is developed to be played. The way that the world exists inside of this game is something that can only be managed by developers that make games. When I started playing this game I had been having restless nights for weeks. I was trying to sleep. I wasnt unable to not sleep. I woke up one day eventually. A friend of mine recommended that I play this game. I tried the game. I played the game.
My favorite part of the game was when the protagonist said "It's amok'ing time" and amok'd all over everyone. Truly one of the games to have ever been made.
This game needs a lot of work. Controls feel like you are in a swamp covered in honey. Puzzles kill any momentum and are absurdly implemented (You're a doctor who has full control over a crane apparently, yet can't pick up a bike when it's on the floor), the voice direction is all accents all the time, oh and you play as a doctor trying to sexually harass a married woman (A classic love story). The skeleton of a half decent game is here but come back in a year or so when this game gets some desperately needed TLC and it may be worth your time. For now though, I'll get my refund and add it back to my wishlist. For my First Impressions of Amok Runner check out my video here: https://youtu.be/TVBtejdwcuM
couldn't even get away from the fist enemy encounter. i tried so many times. couldn't doge, or out run him, even on easy. requested refund as i cant even get a change to get into the game because of it. I died withing 5 seconds of the enemy showing himself. Very disappointed. I was excited due to the positive reviews, I'm sure there is a way to manoeuvre your way out of it otherwise what would be the point of the game, but after 15 times trying I am now annoyed with the game and am no longer interested.
Saw the cheap price and survival horror tag and was excited, it also looked like Sinking City (it definitely isn't). However the controls are stiff which makes combat hard even on easy difficulty. When I first loaded up the game it was in Turkish which confused me because my settings all over are in English but I managed to navigate to English. Had to put it in low quality because it would stutter every few seconds (even on low it still did). Had to take it out of fullscreen because when I turned off motion blur the resolution changed. The loading screens are long as well. Once the doctor started talking I was incredibly confused because nothing he said (or anyone else for that matter) made sense. It felt like I was hearing English for the first time. The dialogue was too long and just a bunch of nothing. You go from failing to chase this random girl to suddenly being attacked (the enemies are faster than you), so it just jumps all over the place. When it came to the delivery truck, it just didn't work at all. Even for the -75% off it feels too much, I feel ripped off so I'm glad I didn't spend full price but I'd rather have not bought it. Honestly, save your money, especially for now while it's in this state. Of the updates planned I hope some of these issues will be fixed since I can see they put effort in this game. I did have a good laugh at the absurdity but for now legitimately I cannot recommend this game.
