An excellent boomer shooter with really unique weapons and great art direction. Really makes you feel like a pretty cool wizard. Campaign is nice and short with really well designed levels, and can even get pretty difficult at times. If you like literally anything by NBI, you'll like this.
One of the most overrated games that i have played in a while. Totally boring. Edit: played through again. The enemies and the weapons and how they work together are the most important part of a boomer shooter. They are both garbage in this game. The gunning down of enemies does not feel good at all. Level design comes second and that too sucks. Hardest difficulty (evil) was a joke. You really won't miss anything by skipping this game. Just play the good games instead. Like Cultic, Dusk, Ion Fury, Hrot..

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

they aint never seen a white boy with this much mana
This is a very solid early entry into the (not named so at the time) boomer shooter renaissance. In some ways it's clearly a love letter to Heretic, but it definitely does not feel like a "Heretic clone" but instead clearly took some of the themes and aesthetic from Heretic and made a modern-retro shooter. The game has some interesting quirks; relatively poor performance given what is happening on screen. Almost everyone reading this will be able to run this game perfectly, but visually it looks like something that should be able to run on a 20 year old computer. In reality, it's got the requirements of a semi-modern AA game. It's not quite as low tech underneath as something like Dusk. The menu system is also surprisingly clunky, but works well enough to be usuable. After that, the game is nearly all positive. I especially like the short episodes, enemy, and boss variety. The real stand out for this game is the level design and aesthetic, which always feels genuinely unique and other-worldly. Level design is where this game truly shines. The combat feels good and the weapons get points for being genuinely unique, however the weapons themselves do feel a bit less satisfying than something more mainstream such as 1993 Doom, Quake, or even Dusk.
Piękna grafika, piękne mapy, piękny gameplay Jeden z lepszych boomer shooterów Gorąco polecam :3
Better than Hexen
What a miserable game. I tried to enjoy it, I did. I had to stop because this is one of the very few games that has triggered my vertigo. The maps are so incredible confusing. Seems to be inspired by Quake but the map design is so bad. Music is serviceable, but I found it to be more of an annoyance to have it on. The way the weapons work has to be the most frustrating part of the game. There is no CLEAR indication for when you are allowed to use a weapon if you have full mana/energy. Got to the second or third boss fight and I just couldn't take it anymore since the movement mechanics were killing me half the time not providing an ounce of forgiveness. If you do pick up the game, I high suggest turning off a number of HUD features if you have eye problems.
Grew up on Doom II, Duke 3D, Hexen, Serious Sam...loved and still love those games. This game has been hyped up to the heavens, had it on my wishlist for years, decided to pull the trigger. Right from the start, the difficulty select is a large, empty desert hallway segment. Retina-burning color saturation. Slippery movement. Little baby jump mechanic combined with every single gap being sized so you have to do it perfectly. Hi-def weapon models and textures juxtaposed with Doom 64-esque enemy models and terrain. Tutorial engravings on the walls show up in big letters in the center of the screen with no pause. 2 melee weapons, then the first ranged weapon you get fires homing shots so you can just blast without aiming and kill everything without ever having to worry about ammo. Huge, empty levels. No automap. Turok-style fog effects. Feels like playing an N64 game on an emulator. Gave it half an hour, don't feel like I'll ever want to go back to it. Does NOT live up to the monumental hype.
Great fantasy based FPS. Seemed pretty well balanced at the medium-high difficulty. Smooth play and each weapon has a distinct personality. Soul power was a bit wonky to get used to
Amazing medieval shooter with gorgeous textures
Combat is excellent. The huge scenarios are impressive, even though it’s easy to get lost in their vastness, which sometimes leads to wasted time backtracking. There are also occasional bugs, like getting stuck on walls.
