Revenue is a rough estimate from public install counts × genre ARPD — order of magnitude only.
American Civil War (South) is a highly rated turn based strategy game set on the Southwest North America during the American Civil War 1861-1866. From Joni Nuutinen: by a wargamer for the wargamers since 2011. Most recent update late August 2026. You are in command of the Southern armies during the American Civil War (1861–1865). The object of the game is to either conquer all the area the Union controls or at least hold on to as much area as possible for the rebellious South until the year 1866 to reach a draw. To have a chance to seize the top spot in the Hall of Fame, you need to skillfully encircle scores of Union units provided by the superior industrial output of the North while trying to carry out successful operations with the meager Southern resources. "The time for compromise has now passed, and the South is determined to maintain her position, and make all who oppose her smell Southern powder and feel Southern steel." -- Jefferson Davis The game is over if: + Either side controls all the cities, or + The year 1866 begins. FEATURES: + Two game modes: (1) NORMAL MODE: All the resources go to the resource pool automatically (quick & easy). (2) SUPPLY MODE: You manually transport ammo to attacking units, and gold to major cities (requires more planning). + Long-lasting: Thanks to in-built variation and the game's smart AI technology, each game provides a unique war gaming experience. + Experienced units learn new skills, like improved attack or defence performance, ability to cross rivers without losing move points. + Good AI: Instead of just attacking on direct line towards the target, the AI opponent balances between strategic goals and smaller tasks like encircling nearby units. For veterans of tabletop campaigns who remember the laughter, arguments, and late-night breakthroughs with old comrades, this feels the same—except the battlefield is ready the moment you are. Join your fellow strategy gamers in turning the tide of the American Civil War. Note: There is larger-scale Union/North side game also available on the store, with generals and more detailed economy. "I'm not going to let an army of Yankees run over my own country." - General Jubal Early in a speech to his troops in 1864, before the Battle of Monocacy Conflict-Series by Joni Nuutinen has offered highly rated Android-only strategy board games since 2011, and even the first scenarios are still actively updated. The campaigns are based on the time-tested gaming mechanics TBS (turn-based strategy) enthusiasts are familiar with from both the classic PC war games and legendary tabletop board games. I want to thank the fans for all the well thought-out suggestions over the years which have allowed these campaigns to improve at a much higher rate than what any solo indie developer could dream of. If you have advice on how to improve this board game series please use email, this way we can have a constructive back and forth chat. In addition, because I have huge number of projects on multiple stores, it’s just not sensible to spend handful of hours each day going through hundreds of pages spread all over the Internet to see if there is a question somewhere -- just send me an email and I will get back to you. Thanks for understanding!
Audience
How many people have installed this game, as the storefront reports it. This number is worldwide — unlike the price, the same package answers with the same install count in every market we asked — so it carries no country. Each source below is a different kind of number and they are never drawn on one axis.
Aug 12, 2026 — Sep 18, 2026 · 35 readings
Google Play shows “5,000+” on the store page.
Play publishes a precise install counter alongside the rounded step users see on the store page. This is that counter, worldwide, as it stood each day we asked.
Of the eight storefronts we track, only Google Play publishes an install count we can read. Where a store publishes nothing of the kind, this panel shows nothing rather than a zero.
