About
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 drops up to four players into the boots of Colonial Marines deployed to the most hostile corners of the Aliens universe. This is not a rescue mission – it’s a fight for survival. Xenomorphs stalk the corridors, ambush from the shadows, and swarm in overwhelming numbers. Every room could be your last. Coordinate with your fireteam, leverage each class’s unique abilities, and adapt on the fly as encounters escalate from tense standoffs to all-out war. With deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies, and a fully customizable Specialist class, AFE2 delivers the definitive co-op Aliens experience.

Join our Discord server, Marine.
Expanding from three to four players, AFE2 introduces deeper team-based mechanics that reward coordination and strategic class composition. New and improved classes each bring distinct playstyles and tactical abilities to the fight, making every squad combination feel different.
The iconic xenomorphs are more ferocious than ever before. AFE2's massive variety of new xenomorphs will force players to stay mobile, maintain situational awareness, and use every tool at their disposal. From stun batons for up close melee action in those most desperate moments, to pyro and electric ammo to whittle down the unrelenting xenomorph front before they overrun you and your squad, the battle can shift from calculated tension to desperate last stand in seconds.
Beyond expanded weapon and gear customization, AFE2 introduces the Specialist – a fully customizable class that lets players mix and match major and minor abilities from every available class. Build a loadout tailored to your exact playstyle and fill whatever role your squad needs.
AFE2 launches with multiple dedicated Horde maps that push squads to their limits. Battle through escalating waves of xenomorphs and other deadly enemies, earning increasingly valuable rewards as you survive deeper into the onslaught. This is where teamwork and skill are tested at their absolute peak.

I genuinely wanted to like Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2. I loved the first game, but this sequel feels like it completely missed what made that game work. The gunplay feels awful, the weapons lack impact, the game is constantly throwing Xenomorphs at you with almost no breathing room, and the ammo economy is ridiculous. On Casual, a basic Xeno can take around 10 rounds, yet the game will throw multiple waves at you including swarms of Hunters and Warriors until you're reduced to your pistol. We literally sat next to an ammo box through three separate waves and couldn't use it until the game decided we were allowed to leave. It feels less like an Aliens encounter and more like bad Left 4 Dead where every room is a three-minute lockdown. The story is somehow even more disappointing. Fireteam Elite felt like it actually added to the Alien universe. The Engineers, Pathogen, Weyland-Yutani's research, and the mysteries surrounding them gave me an actual reason to keep playing because I wanted to know what the hell we'd discovered. Fireteam Elite 2 gives you a mining colony, Xenomorphs, and... Weyland-Yutani was secretly experimenting with Xenomorphs underground. That's it? There is so little mystery or escalation that I genuinely stopped caring about what happened next. It feels less like an expansion of the Alien universe and more like fanfiction that knows all the right nouns. Even Aliens: Colonial Marines and Aliens vs. Predator (2008) gave me more reason to see their stories through. And the more I played, the more it felt like this wasn't made by the same creative team that understood the first game. I know Cold Iron is still the studio behind it, but the personnel and leadership involved have changed substantially, and I can feel that difference in the design. Little things like the Overclock ability increasing the weapon's fire rate while the gunshot audio doesn't even speed up are incredibly telling. The first game felt fun and competent. This feels like someone inherited the data from the first game and just made some ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mobile ripoff. Add in the stuttering, crashes, visual issues, constant combat, weak hit reactions, and $49.99 price tag, and I couldn't justify keeping it. I refunded it after 2 hours and 18 minutes. Play the first one instead. It is definitely not more of Aliens Fireteam Elite 1. It is its own...asset flip ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that just floods the map with xenomorphs to make it "difficult". It looks like a damn PS3 Game at its worst and a ♥♥♥♥ asset flip of the first at its best. TLDR: Pacific Rim vs Pacific Rim Uprising.

GLORIOUS! I've only played 2 levels out of 16, but I can say the following... Aliens Fireteam Elite 2 is really just Aliens Fireteam Elite : More. The fundamental content is essentially the same. Classes, weapons, cards (customizable special rules for a runthrough), environments, enemies, skills, all basically work the same as AFE (1). If you loved AFE, you'll love AFE2 - if you liked AFE, you'll like AFE2 - if you didn't like AFE...etc...etc. Game has run smoothly for all but one of the people I've played with so far - FMV video does stutter, noticeably but tolerably, but otherwise performance seems fine, and no game crashes (although we did get 1 long-term hiccup - about 15 seconds). The game has "improved"...by 1 step, maybe 2 - environments are larger and a little more diverse in design. The AI for the aliens has improved by a step or two - their movement and emergence points are a little less predictable, making just hosing their spawn points a little less effective - the addition of an actual crouch means it's possible to have a staggered fire line, which is nice, if you can convince your friends/teammates to, you know, try a little. Base combat difficulty is, I would say, just a little bit harder than it used to be. Overall, AFE2 is everything I wanted - AFE (1), plus more. Thank you Cold Iron Studios! Again, this is a relatively early review - but the fundamental review shouldn't change, only the enemy offerings at later levels.
Is this game fun? Yes. Do I like this game? Yes. Do I recommend it? No. At 50 dubloons this is a really steep ask for a game that isn't remotely as polished or refined as you would expect from that pricetag. I think it's an improvement over what I remember from AFE1, but it has a lot of issues that absolutely demand patches and fixes before I consider it worth the asking price. The problem is that if it was 30 or 40 I would be able to easily recommend it even with the caveats of "the writing sucks horribly" and "animations are kind of janky." The overemphasized girlboss archetype in the main character cast is a bit on the nose, but the fact that they pretty much suck at their jobs and that the general is a borderline nonexistent bureaucrat trying too had to be tough made me laugh at it more than it made me feel repulsed. Wrench is fine, Raptor's dialogue badly needs to be cut even though the VA sounds very much like he is trying his absolute damndest to make gold out of copper. Animations need to be fixed. Dodging doesn't dodge nearly enough of what it should. I've gotten teleported into the grabs of multiple xenomorphs before my very eyes. A text chat needs to be added, it's absence is hilariously inexcusable. Filtering positive and negative challenge cards needs to be added as well since it is beyond ridiculous that you can have your 4.0x multiplier suddenly jammed down because some braindead random decided that it's time for ammo hoarder on a horde mode. Wait for a deep sale and some patches. The future of this game will really just strongly depend on how much they actually bother supporting it and handling criticism.
Oh boy, where to begin. First off I should mention that I went from Space Marine 2 to this game, so take that with a pinch of salt. Even if I wasn't transitioning from one finally polished game to this one I doubt my feelings would change. Let's get the good stuff out of the way first. The game is certainly chaotic and good for some hoard style shooting. It's a decent co-op game (I would never have played this alone) and the sound effects are very alien. Let's move onto the bad. The game's difficulty is incredibly indecisive. At one point in a mission you'll be mowing down aliens for what feels like hours without any issues. Then, because the game doesn't give you ammo or else the ammo crate only works for one person, you're stuck with your sidearm and just trying not to get overrun. I found myself unable to decide if the game was difficult or just annoying. It's honestly impossible for me to decide for now, but it feels like Payday 1 in the sense that the game was balanced for late game which makes the early game feel top heavy. I felt exhausted after three or four missions of this game and in desperate need for a break, whereas in Space Marine 2 I felt energized and eager for the next encounter up until I was forced to log off in the evening. Progress is also really weird. You have your overall progress, your class progress, your weapon progress, and your damage progress. All of these factors are supposed to improve some sort of damage calculator, which proves if you're ready for the next mission. The problem with this is that many of the tools and attachments you need to improve this number are locked behind missions, leaving you with either grinding for levels or else just forcing through. The fact that my friend and I were able to consistently keep pushing without worry tells me that this number probably doesn't mean much. Next is the AI. Enemy AI is clever at first glance, the aliens seemingly splitting up so they can attack you from multiple angles and force you from cover. However, you quickly realize that this is nothing more than their spawn mechanics, which have been set up to purposefully give you that impression. Enemy and friendly AI is very weak. Most of the big xenos, which are supposed to be a major threat, will just stand out in the open not doing anything so you can kill them. The friendly AI, meanwhile, will shoot walls, each other, or just crouch in cover and not shoot while enemies attack them. At one point I couldn't shoot my gun because the AI kept walking in front of me absorbing my shots. Once you realize that you just need to find a corner, plant yourself there, and the enemy will run to you and die without getting close. Even the robots with guns are disappointing, most of them either running out in the open shooting at random or others going into cover and staying there until you walk over and shoot them or blow them up with a grenade or an ability. Oh, abilities are okay, I suppose, so there's another positive. Next up, graphics. I didn't want to mention this, but I feel like I have to. The graphics are very underwhelming. The game isn't hideous by any means, but it also has a strangely boring look to it that doesn't do much to make me feel like exploring it more than I have to. I suppose that they're passable, but this game certainly won't be scoring any victories for its look. Alien's Dark Descent looked way better than this and it was a top down semi-real time strategy game. Last, and this is really something I'm tried of by now, but I have to address this. The characters are annoying. Raptor, the pilot, is constantly shooting you quips and jokes while you're in the middle of a do or die fire fight like an out of touch millennial. His voice is grating and he never seems to understand when to just shut up or be serious. Besides him every other NPC I've been introduced to is a *strong female protagonist* who is just there to tell you what to do, posture over everyone, and essentially make you feel like you aren't literally saving her and the rest of her girl's club for the first four missions. I swore I would never comment on something like this, but this being the third or fourth aliens game where this happened is just irritating. I ended up muting the dialogue not long after the music, which is also pretty bad. Seriously devs, stop setting up your music to trigger when enemies approach. It allows me to have a 10 second heads up that enemies are around when the generic music switches to yet another generic song. I could talk about how prices are so high for components and skins that you can't afford anything, probably with the excuse of trying to get people to grind old missions, the broken auto-aim mechanic that allows me to shoot enemies through cover, or the bugs I've experienced, but this is about the most that I can muster right now. So far the only enjoyment I've had in this game has been through playing it with my best friend and finding new and hilarious things to laugh at. I'll post an update if anything changes by the end, but until then just save the money and the annoyance and pass this one by.

Bringing Colonialism to the Aliens. Wait for like 50% discount first though.
我真服了,昨天晚上刚买的311.71元,今天打开一看,170元,我日你妈哦艹,还好昨晚退得快,这质量4个人玩得上千还不如出去洗个jio
I bought this on the day of release, played it for about an hour and requested a refund. I wont say exactly why because I am in the UK and I could end up in prison if some snowflake gets offended. Thing is, when I got up the following morning I found that Steam hadn't processed my refund request, so I cancelled it. I decided to give it another chance, and I'm glad I did. I'm 80 hours in and I've had some great battles, both solo & PVE. I've played it every day since purchase. I will say it's not easy, even on casual difficulty. It was also a bit pricey, especially after getting overly enthusiastic and buying the DLCs. I usually only buy games when they're on sale but I'm a sucker for the alien saga. If I had the option of refunding this game now, I wouldn't. The first game is bloody great, so is this IMO.
300多买的,第二天170了,SB背刺
Compared to the previous Fireteam Elite, it's a disappointing downgrade. It's... ok, I guess, but nowhere near worth base price. Wait until some patches improve gameplay and it goes on sale before picking it up.
