Aliens: Dark Descent

I bought this and totally forgot about it—such a huge mistake. I had no idea how awesome it was! It’s tough at the start, and honestly, it stays pretty brutal, haha. But clearing missions is incredibly satisfying, and the progression system is almost perfect. Your soldiers actually deal with physical and mental fatigue, plus trauma, so you really have to manage their downtime and therapy

Great game for fans of Alien Franchise and strategy games. Great narrative flow, gorgeous looking, very nice.

Fun and challenging game with great attention to detail and map design. The voices get a little annoying after a while with the quips mid game, but other than that it was a great RTS game. Not sure if there would be a second one but I'd look forward to it if its similar to this style.

I have not finished Aliens: Dark Descent, but it has kept me entertained for 11 hours so far. I think it is a good game, but there are a few notable bugs that you can look up on the internet. Typically, in order to get past the bug, you have to load a previous game and redo it from that point.

Loved the real-time squad mechanics. The Alien setting was fully respected and used to great results.
