Prequel to Alder's Blood. The key to victory are not muscles or power - but stealth and cunning. The game is a dark mix of tactical strategy and RPG - set in a twisted, dying world. World, where the God is dead and it was us - who killed him.

🔹Hey it's free - enjoy and we wish you lots of fun :)
The story takes place before the events from Alder's Blood and changes the perspective from Chief of the Hunters - to a commoner, named Charles.
Charles, as everyone else in this cruel world, is struggling to stay alive. Daring his luck, out of bravery or desperation - he aims for a quick buck and attempts to hunt the spawns of darkness. If he'll survive - income from reselling the remains of the beasts will secure his livelihood for weeks to come.
What he is not aware of, is how his story will soon unfold and his life... changed forever.
In the world ruled by misery and humanity rotting in shadow of God's dead carcass - death, becomes mercy.

(This review was written yesterday for another demo, and fits perfectly here, so I won't bother rephrasing.) Typewriter effect => ignorelisted. I can't figure out why so many games try to jellify our brains, or expect us to pay to be tortured. Furthermore, the game doesn't reload where I saved. So I ignorelisted it twice. Harsh, but fair. Another title that fails the easiest part, the UI, the one that has been modeled a million times before, while the rest, the creative part, seems pretty cool.
Cool game. + Easy completion
Meh, I don't like it. Hide, stealth, downwind, limited movement capabilities. I got bored quick. Don't think Alder's Blood is a good fit for me. It's similar to a board game with the movement and actions you can take, stamina reduces for each of those actions then enemy attacks. Once detected there is no retreat. You also cannot fully see ahead - what you think is 1 monster could be 3-4. If this is your thing, it's something to try

The demo version contains only 2 missions (on different maps). The story is okay.
"Alder's Blood: Prologue" is is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "Alder's Blood Definitive Edition". Alder's Blood Definitive Edition is a more e-book than game turn based tactical strategy (think Banner Saga ripoff with an Edwardian theme, yeah, me neither) that turned out to be an utterly dismal flop on Steam. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not Alder's Blood Definitive Edition, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "Alder's Blood: Prologue" too. The purpose of this advertisement is to get you to shell out a whopping, eye watering $20 USD on buying Alder's Blood Definitive Edition, and I don't recommend you do that either. This game is fairly dated at 5 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. As an advertisement, this is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store page in the hopes of raking in some cash. Just because advertisements are free, doesn't mean they're worth your time. It's important to understand there's a formal process to create a demo/page for a game which hasn't been followed here: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos While it might seem like an inocuous mistake, publishing demos and advertisements as if they are full games is misleading and in some ways harmful. This advertisement is taking up marketing space and visibility that would be better made available to a developer that's done the right thing and created a full game. Instead, that visibility is given over to a demo/advert that's been published incorrectly and is polluting the marketplace. It's unclear if this mistake was made through incompetence or a deliberate intent to mislead gamers. Often developers may choose to incorrectly publish demo/advertisements as separate games as a cheap way to bypass paying Valve for marketing presence on the Steam front page, which may seem clever to them, but it's harmful behaviour and it's not good for gamers. In terms of public reception, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Advertisements and incorrectly published demos don't add +1 to your game collector count, they aren't full games. It's impossible for me to recommend this incorrectly published advertising spam to gamers, you deserve better than adverts.
Слишком короткий пролог. Оружие дается просто так: вас затопчут враги. Просто будете по кустам прятаться. Ну и все. Все какое-то неудобное.
Very short, not very interesting, but a little insight in how Alder's Blood plays if you hesitate on whether to buy it. Nothing more to say about it.
Before I played Alder's Blood: Prologue, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
Naaa
