Critically-acclaimed action-RPG that takes the template laid down by classics like Wonder Boy, nails the 16-Bit aesthetics for nostalgia fans, but updates the mechanics to feel fresh and modern. Explore a beautiful open world and plunder dungeons, caves and forests to help take down epic bosses!

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.71/day in the week to Jul 30 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great game overall but it feels that it's a first. Very happy to find back the nostaligia of the Monsterworld vibe without the timer. The "challenge" platformin sections and bosses are however very poorly designed and it ruins the experience.
Vale a pena.
Loved it. Very fun little retro adventure in the style of classics that reminded me of Wonder Boy/Zelda 2. Definitely a fun playthrough if you're into those style of games.
Amazing game. Nice snes nostalgia Totally worth the price and play time.
Fun retro style 2d adventure platformer. If you've played Wonder Boy games in the past this game is very similar. The gameplay involves exploring the world, visting towns, figuring out which dungeon to go to, beat the dungeon, and see what opens up next. There's plenty to explore and discover yourself. There are various equipment upgrades and abilities you can learn throughout the adventure which open up new areas to explore. The world is small enough you don't get lost, but there's also no detailed map so you might forget exactly where you saw something to come back for later. The art style is really nice. Each piece of equipment changes your appearance. The music is good at capturing the retro vibe. Enemies look interesting, the various areas you visit are detailed and you'll want to explore them all. Each enemy has a different attack or movement pattern and each area introduces some new enemy type. There are also various large monsters and bosses to take on. Playing with a d-pad is recommended as some of the abilities need to be chained together and you'll want to make sure your inputs are being registered correctly. The only downside of this game is a difficulty spike when you're not able to improve your equipment further but need to defeat tough enemies and a boss. I was ready to stop playing at this point but what kept me going was grinding some levels. The game doesn't communicate what leveling up does - but it increases your attack and defence.
I had a good time with Aggelos, but this game could have been so much more in terms of story and world design. I also believe that the music could have been a lot better, because it leaves a lot to be desired, but i enjoyed the gameplay for what it was. I bought it because it reminded me to Super Adventure Island 2, and i loved the aesthetic of that game as a kid. The game feels janky sometimes, and the spikes in difficulty make this game a grind by the endgame. It isn't too long, so you can finish rather quickly. Aggelos feels like an experiment from the developer so he could gather more experience in making videogames, and at the same time it feels like a mid game from the NES. Score: 6/10.
