I have around 200 hours in this games and it will likely become many more. It has long become my favorite strategy game
Excellent game. TBH every other 4X just feels incomplete after this one. Highly Recommend.

My third most played game on steam. It's so much fun and absolutely phenomenal. Would highly recommend it and I plan to continue playing. I only use auto combat too so I wouldn't necessarily let the combat scare you off if that might not be your gig. Excellent game.

Amazing game! It's very beautiful and fun, you easily lose track of time. The mechanic that you can meet your own created faction later ingame, if you won a game with it, makes you really want to create a well thought out faction and is just super fun. Many customizable options for the map, faction and hero!
Another mixed review. I'll give it a 4/10. Technically, there are almost no bugs; I only had two. I didn't understand the plot; I'm guessing I'm fighting on one side, then the other. A big plus is the ability to play as the bad guys for a while. I played through the entire campaign and one custom map. The locations on the map are too similar. I had a huge problem with orientation. Towards the end of the game, when I had a lot of cities, I had to name cities like "Southeast Underground." I had no idea where my units were on the map or where the enemy was. After each round, I had to search for the enemy because the minimap is very unclear, and when I zoom out, the hero icons are terribly invisible. I have thousands of hours in other Paradox games, and I bought this one mainly because you can create your own hero. I wanted to create a team of "pretty, hot-looking girls" on my side, but I don't know what happened to the character editor. Sometimes you have attractive women, and sometimes I genuinely didn't know if I was looking at a man or a woman. I didn't want to create a "bikini warrior" team or anything like that, just a normal, realistic team with attractive, strong women. Whether I wanted to or not, I had to partially undress the characters to emphasize their femininity, which I really didn't like because it broke the immersion.
